For the first time in a long time, I have finally lost touch with BB and the public.
What's with the Ashleigh hate?
People say, 'the Irish girl got what was coming to her. She got too big for her boots...'
What, because she doesn't like gobby bully Helen or nasty Ash?
Because Ashleigh is on the good guys side, you now suddenly want her out?
Staggering. How people who hated Helen and Ash last week, now are their biggest fans just because Ashleigh was clever enough to get Ash put up.
I do not understand it. I've lost touch, I really have. I'm now in the minority.
Suddenly everyone loves Ash and Helen and probably Marlon too.
The viewers are probably now behind a Steven/Kimberly romance.
It's all upside down.

Ashleigh bitching with Dani in the pod wasn't the actions of a good person. Her being solely motivated by spite, again not the driving force of a hero.

Yeah but so what. Everyone she was bitching about had been nasty about Ashleigh.
Big deal. They all bitch in there. Helen's the worst, now she's the best housemate ever. Apparently...:nono:
Doesn't make any sense to me.

The public doesn't like any sort of meanness. It's the same as Deana and Luke S in the final week, Gina and Hazel in the penultimate week. GBP hates Person A, Person B also hates Person A, Person B tries to take out Person A, GBP turns on Person B. It's still as absurd and appalling as ever, but the public's fickle. Especially with girls.

I think everybody bitches!
Having 2 teenagers myself, i hear the bitching, they learn as they get older hopefully that bitching is a non productive act and pointless for all concerned.
Helen is 27 and should know better, Ashleigh is only just starting out in an adult world.

Ashleigh is pathetic, she has no guts, she is all talk. All she does is bitch and moan about Helen; if she had the guts to tell this all the Helens face she might be more liked, but she wont because she is a coward.
She has a face of a slapped arse all the time, she is never happy, a dying cancer patient would have more fun then she would.
I get everyone bitches and moans in the house, but at least they try and get on with their experience and have fun, Ashleigh does not. The only reason people like her is because she talks crap about Helen that the majority of people dont like, but at the same time she is basically the same as Helen; a vindictive pathetic coward.
Cant wait for her to go.

People opinions on housemates change. Not everyone has the same opinion on housemates as you, not everyone likes Ashleigh.
Those wanting Ash out must have though there was no point in voting because they believed he was dead certain to go, I mean I thought he would so I never bothered voting.

Nope, the others didn't know Ashleigh. From Helen's point of view, Ashleigh was a girl who wouldn't talk to her. And Ash hardly said a bad word about her.
And regardless of Helen versus Ashleigh storyline that Ashleigh manufactured. If you look at it as an Ash versus Matt eviction. Ash is easy on the eye and liked to have fun in there, sure he said a couple of mean things but was Matt a better housemate. He just kinda hing around with Mark. He said nasty things, called people chavs.
Matt didn't have a lot going for him, and it could be that he didn't get involved in having fun in there, that could have been his downfall.

A wise man once said "Let he who is without sin cast the 1st stone". This is real life for you-no-one is completely good or completely bad. It's all rubbish, I think people should get a grip, I refuse to believe she's the worst one in their-Marlon for instance but he's probably going to stay until just before the final how vain/arrogant he is.

I do not understand it. I've lost touch, I really have. I'm now in the minority.
Suddenly everyone loves Ash and Helen and probably Marlon too.
The viewers are probably now behind a Steven/Kimberly romance.
It's all upside down.
The reason I don't like Ashleigh anymore is that she is constantly bitching and she is gunning for Kimberly which I think is really unfair. The comment she made to Steven ( who incidentally I think is a complete plank) about him being able to do much better than Kim was uncalled for. Kim was a friend to her for the first few weeks when the other girls for the most part ignored her because after all she was just eighteen
Kim then got friendly with other housemates but didn't abandon Danielle and Ashleigh till Ashleigh started joining herself at the hip with Toya who instigated the bitching that Ashleigh continued once Toya went out of the house. I don't like Helen and even if she did good deeds from now till the final I still wouldn't like her. I think she is vicious and spiteful and a bully. I DID like Ashleigh. She wasn't my favourite but she was up the list until the bitching started with Toya and she slipped right to the bottom when she made that comment to Steven.
I know many people think Kim is emotionless and boring but one thing that cant be said for her is that she isn't a good friend. She is still trying hard with Danielle and thankfully Danielle is removing herself from Ashleigh a little bit more. Ashleigh is a stunning and clever young woman and when I saw her go into the house I hoped that cos she is young she would be able to join in the fun and frolics and be a good housemate
Instead she cowered away for the first two weeks, bitched since, has been thorough in her hatered of kim ( Her hatered of Helen is deserved by the way) She didn't join in the very brief pool party which was a nice light moment in an otherwise bitchy BB. She didn't even crack a smile when the lads were doing a striptease etc.
So Gusto ( and I am sorry my post is so long lol) I haven't turned to liking Helen and Ash who I think is a knob. I really cant stand Ashleigh cos I feel she has let the people who initially liked her down. Kim may be wooden and roll her eyes and people may question her motives with Steven ( she could do so much better) but she is still my favourite housemate and anyone who 'has it in for her' in the house will certainly not be liked by me
Pete.

Actually Ash picked Ashleigh out last week as the one person he could not stand. And this was before Ashleigh started to "wake" up in terms of bitchiness.
And how is Ash having fun? Apart from smoking and bitching he does little, apart from making the occasional sexist remark. He got a lot of enforced screen time this week because of the task, but he should revert to type now, sitting in the corner with Helen, telling everyone they their group is the "fun" one.
Ashleigh's plan was a good one, she half got it right but then her spiteful streak, bitching, smugness and miserable personality got in the way.

Ash would play around in the pool, do pranks. I recall him having a good laugh in there with Helen and with his friends Marlon & Winston. Whereas Matt seemed to be melting into his own bed whenever he was shown there chatting to Mark. He was like Mister Burns from the Simpsons.
HoweverI think the way Matt started his experience kinda was a bit unfair on him, while everyone else got to bond, he was in isolation for the first night. So I'm sure that hampered his game in there.
Anyway Ash not being able to stand Ashleigh, kinda shows he was very intuitive. As it turned out she wanted to get rid of him just to get at Helen, not because of anything Ash done against her.
And you may have seen Ash as one who brought little fun to the house, but surely Matt brought even less fun by your standards.
You could also say, Ash was saved despite his spiteful streak, bitching, smugness and miserable personality.
The difference being Ash never conjured up a plan to get rid of anyone and brag in the DR about it?
He also doesn't sit bitching on tv constantly.

All Ash does is make snide, somewhat derogatory, sometimes outright nasty comments.
Ashleighs "plan" was retaliation against a vapid individual.
Her "mistake" was not sugar coating it. She didn't hide her dislike. She was very direct in her opinion.

I disagree with this, Ash is showing plenty just having normal conversations.
Ashleigh on the other hand isn't, every time she is on screen she bitches and not just about Helen (this vapid person you mention) Jale, Kim, Ash, Marlon, Winston have all came under attack from her.
Her 'mistake' was getting too smug and revealing too much of her spiteful personality.

The BB rules:
1) Pretty girls must never have an opinion.
2) If you are a bitch, you must be a total uncontrollable bitch, then you are "entertaining".
3) If you are a man, make sure you are muscled, and attractive. Then you can say and do what you want, because you might not win, but you will beat any female with an opinion...

Normal conversations about how there are no real slags in the house, can't remember the word used. Or that wonder conversation on how Jale diving would leave no water in the pool.
What does that say about his personality?
And do you really what a bitching comparison?
Chris and Matthew have both called the rest of the house idiots.
Helen/Ash/Marlon have bitched about Ashleigh, Danielle, Chris, Christopher, Jale, Toya...
Danielle has bitched about Ash, Kim, Jale, Chris...actually pretty much everyone...apart from maybe Mark - who she believes shouldn't be allowed to get married.
I coul go on, but the list is extensive, because they are all at it.
The series has gone down hill, what they need is VTS it would make it a lot better

Ash has said the thing about there being no sluts in the house once btw.
None of this changes the fact that Ashleigh bitches constant, it's actually non stop (from what we have been shown) that's why a lot of the public dislike her and that added to her sneaky 'plan' is one of the reasons Matthew was voted out...

Isnt that the point? What we've seen?
If they are editing the HLS to show us the "worst", or more controversial parts, then there could be entire days of Ashleigh smiling, Ash being a gent and Helen being a mother figure.
But we aren't seeing that.
If we are seeing the "worst" then Ashleigh worst parts aren't all that bad, but Ashs are truly horrible. Because the worst you can say about her is that shes a bitch. The worst you can say about him is that he's a total b**t**d...

Gusto, the majority of the GBP who watch BB want to see bullies and girls with boob jobs and bare chested 'lads' and sex talk, unfortunately.
The show is now designed to appeal the lowest common denominator.
Which is probably why it's losing more discerning watchers particularly this season, as evidenced by the viewing figures.

If it was a vote to save and Ash was saved first, then your claim would make sense. But it was a vote to evict and almost as many people wanted Ash out as did Matt.
So the behavior of both Matt & Ash was the most disliked by the viewers.
All Ashleigh has done is bitched, Helen has been verbally discriminative and acted aggressively many times and Ashleigh is vilified for it
Ashleigh sees them for what they were, she doesn't try to hide her disgust but is open and transparent about how she feels by not licking up to the clique. She's stuck in a house with that lot and people expect her to pretend that she's enjoying herself. She and her friend confide their feelings in each other, but it's only Ashleigh, not Danielle, who gets vilified for (shock! horror! ) - bitching. She doesn't rudely confront people with profanities and threats and she's a coward. She tries to hit the unpleasant individuals were it hurts and people vote out someone else to spite her.
You couldn't make it up.

Ash was far and away the fave to go with the bookies and all the forum polls. Matthew was nowhere near. The public voted Matthew to spite Ashleigh and showed that they preferred the cliques behaviour as described in the posts above more than they preferred a girl with morals.
I'd say there was a huge push by a contingent of the public near the finishing post to keep Ash in. Their pockets must feel a lot lighter today. lol

That is possible, I don't know why everyone voted. But there are other possibilities.
The polls were flooded with votes against Ash on the first day noms were announced, that is a great representation of who would go on that day. But the eps that followed, showed Matt to be pretty dislikeable, while Ash faded into the background (always a smart tactic to stay in BB).
I recall posting in a thread, the topic was about how one sided one of the polls was, I said something like, there is many a slip between the cup and the lip, and that Ash wasn't gone yet. Not I that thought he would stay, it was just I figured that it wasn't as much a foregone result as it seemed.
Anyway my point is that it wasn't an either or choice, someone who voted to evict Matt, it doesn't mean they supported Ash, or that they want him to stay. Matt behavior in the eyes of the voters was slightly worse than Ash on the week they were both up.
Or if the voters did see it as one of Helen's team facing off against one of Ashleigh's. Then the same also applies, Ashleigh's behavior was worse than Helen's on this week. I think looking back, that's pretty clear to see now.

I respect your take on things (we all see things differently) but I don't think Matthew was unlikable at all. In fact, many people loved the relationship he had with the peoples fave Mark and the banter between them.
We seen Chris saying how Matthew was great, how funny he was but his humour might be taken the wrong way until you get to understand him. Which should have showed the public that he could get interesting and deserved a chance.
....Cut to Ash arrogantly saying it would be a mistake for people to vote him out and the lads all were sitting around saying girls wanted to see bare chested good looking men an how Matthew didn't qualify. I see nothing likable there, just arrogance and vanity.
I didn't see Helen as likeable this week at all. She was still bitching and making snidey faces and complaining about Jale and Kim leaving her out and having a bath together, as if they have to ask her permission. The only reason she's keeping a lid on it is because she got warned.
I hold to my opinion that a certain contingent wanted Ash saved at all costs to spite Ashleigh (look at how many are gloating at the 'look on hr face'). And their push in the latter stages of voting achieved this.
I agree. The public have hated Helen since Day 1, and then as soon as anybody stands up to her the public are gunning for them. Danielle got booed after her argument with Helen, Matthew was evicted, then Ashleigh is the next one they are going for. Watch out Winston.
