Ben Sansum is 35. But he lives in 1946.
His clothes, his house, the music he listens to - all come from an era before he was even born.
He has always been interested the 1940s, but it is an interest that has grown over the years. He's gone from buying reproduction furniture for his house to tracking down the real thing. His 70-year-old carpet is his latest pride and joy.
BBC News went to meet Ben at home in Cambridgeshire.

Some might call him weird and odd, but he does look happy living how he is, so good on him.

What a coward he is. He should have picked 1942 or some other year when the war was on, so he'd have to go kill germans. Instead he picks a year when the war is over, how convenient!!!

I don't blame him tbh, his home looks so characterful I much prefer his home to these with vertical blinds, magnolia walls and sticks in a vase.
I like it. I would love to live like that but am so used to the modern way of living, I know I couldn't live that way.

If only you could put the world at large back in time just as easily.

I actually prefer it... I like aesthetically pleasing things ; televisions, they used to be rounded and cased in wood like a piece of furniture, now they're huge slabs of black plastic really ugly imposing things.

It beats the bloke who celebrates Christmas Day, every single day. By himself. What a depressing life.
A week a year of 'Christmas cheer' is more than enough for me, I think I would go insane if I was him

He says technology is make us more isolated, when he doesn't even understand it and is isolated himself by his obsession. Sounds like more of a fear of technology and change than anything.
Good for him though living how he wants to.

He sounds a bit like Marco BB5 with his little titter of a laugh at the end of every sentence.
