View Full Version : Are they allowed to discuss nominations now then?

12.43am: Ash and Marlon and Helen are trying to decide who they least want to live with. #BBUKLive

Seems rather blatant to me.

And do we even know if it's the 2 or 3 or more with the most nominations or is it everyone with 2 is up? Because it seems to change a lot.

This show is such a shambles in the way they decide these things after the event.

I said yesterday how blatant it was becoming ,they speak outright about noms ,Helen more or less told her flock to vote Ashleigh yesterday too

Maybe BB were hoping this would happen ...Punishment being that those people will automically go up? I hope so, I really do.

How would we know? We don't know anything. Do we even know if they are actually nominating this week?

That's the hope I have as well. Why would the updates highlight this if there wasn't to be any kind of comeuppance? Making the public aware of this and not doing anything about it will only just wind up the crowd even more at a time when Channel 5 need to be careful about not ostracising their fanbase after the Matthew debacle..

All up vote to save would be great at this point.

Emma didn't say that. She said the PH was going on a break but didn't say anything about nominations.

She said she would like to see normal noms on BOTS, but didn't confirm it.

Can anyone else confirm this?

All I remember her saying is that she would like to see normal nominations.

Hopefully BB have ignored it deliberately and when they come to announce the nominated housemates they will then repeat the discussions and influencing votes and punish them accordingly....hence Ashleigh might escape if they cancel their nominations....

I'm sure you're not. But I watched the show and I genuinely can only remember her saying she would like to see normal nominations, not that there would be.

11.29am: Chris is feeling stressed about the prospect of nominating later today. Feels like ages since we've had nominations! #BBUKLive

Ah well.

Well done producers, you've got Ashleigh out as well now.

What a joke the show is this year. When they interfere it hurts the show. Then when they finally decide not do, it's the week they probably ought to.

She might not be up but if she is it was because the house wanted her up how can you be bitter about that it makes no sense.
Your increasing desperation is amusing but the point you are trying to make is just odd how can you attack the shows producers for making it fair?

The whole thing is manipulated. They've had a power housemate every week. Where did that go? If anything it's been manipulated to get her out.

They haven't done a normal round of nominations once this year when you consider the free pass, the permanom and the PH. They suddenly decide they will do them the week they know exactly what will happen.

Your increasing desperation is amusing but the point you are trying to make is just odd how can you attack the shows producers for making it fair?

What's fair about it? They decide when to do what depending on what they know will happen. The decisions they make are based entirely on this. I'm just baffled as to why they would do it.

What's this thing with people saying the show is destroyed when one person is evicted each week.

Tamara did nothing. Pauline had a few days of 'bullying' then stopped. Toya had 2/3 days of arguments then stopped. Matthew had one or two arguments and was rarely a vocal point of highlights. Now Ashleigh only messed around for 3/4 days to make sure Helen didn't get Ash saved... other than that the paintwork was more exciting than her before the week just gone.

None of them have been consistently in the limelight. Even in the case of Ashleigh prior to last week people said she was a bore...

For me none of them, expect maybe Toya, have defined the series. They are all characters in their own right this year and tbh, I want to see the dramatic ones out so we can actually see housemates having fun for once... negative drama does NOT make an amazing series.

But this time the housemate topping the popularity polls is in trouble. When your viewing figures have dropped below a million and people are fed up of the Helen show, and one of the few people who inspire positive feedback (albeit with negative) is looking likely to go out next, your show is in trouble. If Ashleigh is evicted next, all that is left is the 3 lads jumping into bed with the 3 girls. Utterly banal.

Popularity polls on fansites... and hardly any fans vote so it's hardly representative of the voting public as a whole.

Spot on. There seems to be a completely different demographic as between BB fans and BB voters.

They've been very accurate over the years. They were last year with the popularity of Dexter and Gina, and Sam later on.

The year before they always had Luke A, Deana and Adam doing well. Especially Deana. When they released the percentages that year

The year before that Aaron was a massive fave on the polls and people still refused to believe he would win because they though he was hated and the kids would vote for Jay.

I've watched BB for years. The polls are in general reflective of the viewers. That's why I found the eviction result last week so baffling.

I've watched BB for years too, although you can never rely on polls on fansites... fans generally view the show differently to the general public. Most of the times polls can be right, although others times it will be an obvious case of fans viewing the show differently. Polls have not always been consistently right with the reality.

For fans Ash was horrible and Matthew was a god. For the public Matthew was a snob and thought he was superior to everyone else. I bet there was a close call between them with voting figures.

Like I said in another topic, for all we know there could have been a 2% vote difference between Matthew/Ash. Just because Matt was evicted doesn't mean it was a landslide eviction, which the majority of people automatically assume.

I too was baffled that Matthew got more votes to evict than Ash!!! that was until I realised that Supercasino sponsers BB and the bookies made a killing when Matthew got evicted. Where there's money, there's an opportunity for dodgy dealings. And that eviction on Friday was a definite FIX

The phone votes are independently verified I believe. Had there been any leaks about who was leading the vote Matthew's odds would have changed dramatically.

It just was an anomaly imo.
