View Full Version : Would you push the button? [spoiler]

So for the last part of the task one of the nominated housemates can potentially save themselves but at the same time they lose the shopping task.

I can honestly say I would push the button :smug:

I would feel bad but yeah I would still do it hahah

Anyway I think all of the nominees apart from Christopher will go for it.

Would you push it?

Yep.

I don't see anyone going for it except Jale tbh

Yes. Everyone drained the battery. They can get fuxked lol

Kate!

Yup I'd push the button

Yes, given some of the selfish bastards who've drained it for their own gain I wouldn't hesitate.

No because (a) you will defo be up next week and (b) the public will hate you for it, if it were a button to take the money that would be different, but just for safety for a week, no way.

You still get an extra week and plus next week is Armageddon, another twist so the person that pushed it may not be up again.

The public loves a game player apparently?

Yes, a billion percent.

^^^ I don't think the public would hate you for it - it would depend who pressed it. If Marlon does then Ashleigh is gone so I would despise him :joker:

We have to assume the HMs don't know about Armageddon, and the public do love a game player but as in someone who has brought something to the house, if it is Marlon then he will be hated, Ashleigh might get away with it because as least she has caused drama.

The five nominated were told that one of them could win safety from the eviction this week, however it would come at a cost of the final 15% of the battery.

Once the one minute countdown started, after 2 seconds, Marlon hit his button. This secured Marlon’s safety from this week’s eviction, however eliminated the remaining 15% of the battery leaving the battery on 0%, meaning that the Housemates have FAILED this week’s shopping task.

It means now that Marlon will no longer be facing eviction, leaving Ashleigh, Christopher, Chris and Jale up for the public vote.

Exactly no one in their right mind thinks Marlon should be saved only himself.

Marsh.
08-07-2014, 04:49 PM
They won't be hated for it, it depends on the public opinion of a housemate.

Helen, Ash, Ashleigh etc etc doing something like this would be hated because they'll be hated on regardless.

Jale, Chris, Mark etc etc doing something like this would be like "fair enough".

Oh I know they don't but for another week in the house I would still do it, so much can happen that there's about a 50% chance of you getting away without being nominated for it even without a twist especially with Helen in the house

This and C) you will look unselfish for not doing it and it could potentially save you and if you do survive you will have a much better week knowing youve got more food and your in everyone's good books

There are more advantages of not doing it Imo

Yep, when you're in channel 5 BB you know that if you've had a week of normal nominations/eviction that a twist will arrive the following week so anything could happen.

They might as well pick nominees at random for all the consistency they have.

I would have pressed the buton. I'm a bit annoyed that we don't see in the HL show the consequences for the HMs of failing a task. I want to see them complain about nof fags, booze and even lack of food. The HL show concentrates too much on arguements and fall outs etc.

If that's the case, stop crying.... At least one more week is better off than going on Friday..

Two issues come up with him pressing the buzzer...
1) the lost the task
2) he was selfish and did not consult with others...

1) when Steve drained the battery twice and mark drained the battery by getting facials, what was your reaction?

2) when Christmas said to Ashleigh ...." You know what to do" did he consult marlon?

I don't care what anyone thinks, but don't lie to yourselves that the 5 of them could have walked away and saved the battery..... If that is the cas, is marlon a lesser human? And you say Helen is a bully.

You all hate marlon for how he treats women, how have these women been treating themselves...... Open it.... While you have a boy friend...

wtf lol i just said i wouldn't of pushed the button as only a complete fool would do that.

1. push it you lose any chance of winning bb
2. push you fail the task
3. push it you will be hated
4. push it you got to live in a place you are not wanted,

why stay for 1 more week thats desperate why stay where your not wanted.
anyone who says they would push it is completely insane lol

the only person who is justified to do it is ashleigh who is certain to go and not liked. her doing so would annoy them . anyone else would be and is pure stupidity and selfishness.

Without a doubt and I'd also not stay frozen in those tasks where family members come in like Jack and Joe didn't last year, it's only some ****ing food...no way am I not talking to my family just for that.

But people are always quick to criticise decisions like this when it's a housemate they don't like so I'm not sure why some are trying to point the same thing out when they're guilty of it themselves. Loads on here yesterday were criticising Ashleigh for being 'selfish!!!!' for draining the battery, in pretty much every other task like this people usually complain that they're being 'selfish!!!!!' and whinge but now it's Marlon everyone suddenly seems to think what a great decision he made? Please, the double standards are hilarious

He made the right decision. But everyone who makes decisions like that in there makes the right decision, both for themselves and often for the entertainment of the show too. Either be consistent or don't bother k thanks

That doesn't make any sense because Helen said Marlon lied as they all agreed not to press the buzzer, I cant see them reacting badly to Marlon if Ashleigh was going to press it as well, I think the editing left alot to be desired on that one.

Already guaranteed. The bonus of him pressing the button was for him to realize which of his friends are actually HIS FRIENDS. Winston was pissed. Ash was a little too but he won't fall out with him over it because unlike Winston, Ash knows what it feels like to be up for eviction and not be popular with the public.
If Winston had been booed 100% guarantee he would not have reacted the same way
