Seriously, don't think I've seen so much outrage because it's likely such a basic mess is going, Helen already had ammunition from Matthew/Toya going, don't see why it's now suddenly an issue.

To answer the question, no, not even CLOSE

Only good thing about this awful season left but not a classic housemate.

Gina is the most overrated though..

Yes! Her fanbase on here was so little when Toya was in the house. When Toya goes, Ashleigh's apparently the saviour of this trainwreck of a series when she hasn't even contributed that much.

No. She's one of the few people in that house that are actually providing entertainment and something to watch.
Channel 5 have ****ed her over majorly.

Actually, IMHO, Helen is the most overrated HM in there:

Its day 10 - Helen is shouting at someone

Its day 13 - Helen is shouting at someone

Its day 15- Helen is shouting at someone

Its day 17 - Helen is complaining about someone shouting

Its day 18 - Helen is shouting at someone

Its dull. Its not interesting. Its tedious. It takes up way too much of the HL show. From now until the end of the show all we are going to see is Helen picking another fight. It makes for a very monotonous show. Therefore her screen time is overrated.

Salman's opinions are usually on point which mean they count for more than half of this forum tbh

Anyway no way cause she's not even that rated in the first place. But she is a good housemate this series, Helen and Ashleigh  wish people wouldn't take sides, it's the same every single series

Same. But I'm sure they've been unnecessarily overrated female HMs. Sophie (I think) that blonde girl from BB12 comes to mind.

If you don't want to support one of the boring people called Chris, then you have to support one of the assholes. Yep that's right, Ashleigh is just an asshole like the rest.

You know what I mean, I shouldn't have to add the extra sentences on at the end of that same post I always make

I take Ashleigh's side on a personal level obviously...I seriously question the people on here who don't, that genuinely does baffle me and actually I find it quite disturbing  but it always annoys me when people take a side in a rivalry and then want the other person out, that makes no sense at all. If you're enjoying the rivalry by all means analyse it and have discussions about who's right and who's wrong, that's the whole basis of the 'discussion points' argument after all...but wanting one of them to leave so that those discussions end makes no sense to me (Gina vs Sallie, Hazel vs Sallie, Linda vs Jim, the list goes on). I get that Ashleigh and Helen isn't a rivalry as much as the other ones I listed are, but it still counts

I think the main thing is that there's a difference between fun rivalries where both sides are actively contributing to my enjoyment (there will probably never been more perfect frenemies than Lydia and Deana) and a rivalry where someone who is clearly the more righteous one lashes out at someone who is truly deplorable. I really don't wanna get into the Jim/Linda thing but you mentioned it and I was thinking of it so let's get into it.

Linda/Jim was obviously A Talking Point but Jim didn't really contribute anything to my enjoyment of it at all. It was a rivalry I somewhat enjoyed only because Linda spent every waking minute slandering his name, serving up truth tea as needed, burning wax effigies of Jim in the garden, etc. Like, I still think Jim was an incredibly distasteful casting choice who really had no business being on the show and I didn't enjoy any moment of his, so it was amazing to see women like Linda and Luisa make his life hell and express all the thoughts I had.

And even so, the ending was incredibly unsatisfying. Linda was hated and Jim could somehow do no wrong. The voting public isn't keen enough to pick up on bigotry unless it involves physical hate crimes and somehow both Jim's behavior in and out of the house wasn't enough to prevent him getting like 50% of the final vote to win. He's easily the worst CBB winner ever just on principle alone and might beat out the civilian winners too and it's an incredibly unsatisfying ending from a narrative perspective.

Admittedly the Ashleigh/Helen thing isn't nearly on the same level, but follows the same logic. I don't find Helen entertaining in any sense of the word so I'm all about Ashleigh hating her with every fiber of my being. And like you said, Ashleigh's unarguably good and Helen's unarguably evil. Good shall overcome evil, etc.

No, Conor is the most over-rated housemates of the C5 era. Constantly being saved from evictions and getting love from people on Twitter when all he did was threaten to punch Deana and shove, well you know the rest.

He literally did nothing else and doesn't warrant any sort of fanbase at all.

Why do people constantly have to define what to them means entertaining? Shouldn't somebody be able to enjoy watching a housemate without constant questioning? It'd be like me constantly asking Vanessa why she likes Helen.

And with Ashleigh I think she would be good in any other year, but she's definitely stood out more this year because it's so ****.
