Just found this below, on another BB forum.... makes an interesting read and I think they make some valid points here...........
'' You know, I’m beginning to suspect that Pete is really rather ruthless, manipulative and self-serving instead of being the innocent, easily led and, frankly, unintelligent bumbling man-child that he acted on BB.
If he is, and perverse as it may sound, I would have way more respect for him because he will have played an incredible game for 13 straight weeks.
If fact, I’m beginning to think he may even be the single best game-player BB has ever had, even better and vastly more manipulative than Makosi. After all, she just had the HMs fooled but never us. In fact, the point at which when she tried to manipulate us is the exact moment she lost the show, i.e. the “I’m pregnant” stage-whisper to the camera in the love-loft.
Pete, on the other hand, may have played us all like idiots from the moment he first tumbled down those stairs. Even those of us who found him boring and were annoyed by the fact that he avoided confrontation….even when he caused it….and made (or rather appeared to make) judgements about other HMs based purely on nonsense said by other HMs, such as Lea, never called him manipulative.
However, he managed to avoid nomination, even though he had all the women driven completely nuts and fighting like cats over him. And, he never did a stroke of work in the house – except one spot of vacuuming which he turned into another ‘hilarious’ Norman Wisdom-style performance.
Plus, there was that rubbish about the spiral, his dead friend and the angels being dead if didn’t win. We should have twigged then that he was a manipulator because his friend was very much alive and breathing all the other times he’d auditioned for BB! And he’d already told us –variously - that he wanted to win for his mum and that he wanted to win for Tourettes. Which one was the real reason he wanted to win….could it have been exactly the same reason as all the rest….money and fame?
Finally, there was the puke-inducing ‘romance’ with Nikki. The pound signs must have been flashing in his eyes and all along everyone is blaming her for being the one leading him up the garden path….hmmm.
But, still, we weren’t accusing him of being manipulative.
We should have had a sense that something was up when he came lowest in the test for manipulation and was just so pleased about it. Anyone else might have picked up on the point that coming lowest on that test means that you’re the most gullible and will be of lower intelligence than virtually anyone else in the test group. It’s not something to be proud of….unless you set out to fool the test…..and succeeded. Hmm….
Maybe he even deserved to win….but not for the reasons that he’d like the world to continue thinking.''
