I have NO IDEA how many times we have to say this. OVERNIGHTS ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT. Channel 5 will be looking at the official ratings for the series! Jesus, some of the officials have been boosted up by 300k or more. There is NO ratings crisis! The way you go on, it's like you want it to be axed!
Jake.

Channel 5 have lost a huge advertisement deal anyway recently. Overnight ratings are still performing well for Channel 5. It's higher than a lot of their programs. There is no ratings crisis - it's just you assuming there is every week because a figure isn't getting 3 million. If Channel 5 weren't happy with the show, we'd hear about it by now.

1.3 Million is a very decent overnight and it will easily be boosted up to around 1.6/1.7 in officials.

If they have lost a huge amount of advertisement recently then overnights should mean even more!
They have to work a lot harder to get advertisers in at a lower price. Why would Channel 5 announce to the world that they aren't happy with the amount of viewers their show is getting?
Why would anyone want to promote their failures?
This thread is still pissing me off there is a ratings thread for a reason so can mods please just merge it already.

can we just settle this straight.
Ratings are not in crisis whatsoever. If the previous series was the same as the other two in ratings you wouldn't be complaining. BB12 got 1.6m, BB13 got 1.6m BB14 got 1.9m and currently this series is getting 1.6m too. It's on par with two other series..
Official ratings are also good.. look at the advertisers on their Demand 5 service and even the Big Brother app and YouTube page.. it all adds to some form of income one way or another..
just because it isn't better that the previous series, does not mean these ratings are poor.
You can't always expect ratings to improve year on year.
Yes, some episodes have been well down on what they should.. but for much of the time it was understandable due to other television events and competition, not to mention other factors like weather, etc.
It's got a lot to do with the shares too, particularly for the channel itself who are often more interested in shares than millions of viewers as for the next year it increases advertisement costs depending on if the share is improved, which at this rate is 0.3% down on the previous year.. nonetheless, Big Brother hasn't slipped below the 4.0% average yet, therefore its in the safe zone.
Other factors are the fact that most don't like the continual twists, deception of the audience, HMs.. the list goes on. I'm sure BB producers are fully aware of this. We fans tweet them 24/7, even Emma and Rylan openly discuss this.
There is no ratings crisis mrmattybeck
End of discussion, lets get somebody to merge this unnecessary thread.

To be fair the show is piss poor this year. It's dying on it's knees and not in a good way either.
