This is becoming farcical. I can't believe people are defending it. They have run this show into the ground this series. The worst series of all time.

I'm passed caring. Don't like any of them anyway.
Bit OTT, we get to decide who stays out of the new housemates

the first time this happened and the eviction was perfect, this could work well for the show

Yep. I did last week. And I often vote for the winner.
Unfortunately, a potential winner may go out without any public involvement at all.
I just can't believe people are not put off by this

I don't think there are any worthy winners in there anyway so I'm not going to cry about not being able to vote.

It is for me now I agree, this was the last straw, itwill be 2 evictions in one single week of original housemates that have not been decided at all by the public.
I just wish people would show contempt for what BB fools are planning this series as they have for the public watching.

Many people just don't care, because it was Marlon. Had it been a popular favourite among the public, it would have been a very different story
I 100% agree with the op though. I actually didn't care who went today, even if it was someone I completely hated like Steven, the whole thing shouldn't have happened. And now another housemate is going to go, without the public vote? I don't care who goes, even if it's Steven, it shouldn't happen
I don't mind it, I don't see it as much of a big deal in my opinion. It's a good twist!

It's the end of the show.
I highly doubt it! I can see them evicting Kim, so it will be the end of their boring showmance and making the show wayyy more watchable

People need to understand that nothing stays the same. Big Brother has changed. If its such a problem for anyone to watch then just don't?

It's the end of the show.
I think it will be reflected on that they have interfered too much for this series and made it near unwatchable with a recipe for disaster.
They have for me anyway.
Hopefully they get back on a better track for the next series otherwise it just will not be BB anymore.

I agree! It's only a tv show at the end of the day and their trying their best to make it entertaining and shocking. By bringing in twists like this it keeps it fresh. I'm all for it! Yes it's not what it used to be, but it's still good!

I'm certainly not defending it. Just that I've made it known how much Big Brother has declined IMO. So for people weeping over this twist I'm just like "This is what you have a problem with?"
It's been inconsistent, unfair, random and full of bell ends for at least the last 4 years.

Let's hope this is the start of one day it becoming a permanent thing because the voting public should have no influence on who leaves, they suck
I have to say I NEVER thought they'd have the balls to do an eviction without a public vote so to do two...major props for taking such a risk

I started watching BB1 again yesterday. After tonight's pathetic episode I've decided to drop this series completely and focus on old school BB. It's a shame because the series was going well apart from the showmance bollocks. Evicted one housemate without a public vote is bad enough, but 2 makes my decision even easier. BB1 was so much better anyway, all the memories come back when I watching. Nick "I was an escort" The entire format is much more intersting. After BB1, will watch BB2 again

It won't happen more often, because that was the death knell of the show.
What's hilarious to me is people not realizing that this is the biggest act of self sacrifice on television ever. They are killing the show off.

I fear the end of the road is fast approaching for me and BB, I hate to say it but due to the constant rule changing and applying more and more bizarre twists which now include fundamental changes to the very structure of BB, I have to say with a heavy heart enough is enough.
In fact if the truth be told this has been coming now for a while, cast your mind back 5 or 6 years ago , I used to watch live Feed, HL shows eviction shows and BOTS.
Now I record everything and skip through a lot of the dross....in fact I miss out the HL shows at weekends because nothing happens.
Truth is this show is a shadow of it's former self and it is desparately trying to prop up audience share with more outrageous twists that completely destroy the point of the program.
Think I will make this the last BB and watch only the CBB , at least there they have to keep the main rules intact or face far more serious criticism from Celeb HM's.
.
The first time they did it was yesterday and Marlon went so I'm happy with it, it is good to have a change

Cliched nonsense. Change is good if it's in the right direction. This is degenerating into something so desperate it is simply offputting. And now not once, but twice, HMs are going to evict someone. This time it's highly likely it will be one of the favourites (Ashleigh)

If you hate the person who was evicted you cannot look at it objectively. The Friday eviction is even worse than the one yesterday because it is not even the housemates who are deciding, but 3 random newbies. Think back to previous years where you had your favourites, how would you feel if they were evicted without a public vote? I hate Steven and want him out, but even if they chose him, it's still sh.. because I want him out on his arse the right way, up for eviction and voted out by the public with 80%+ of the vote. I think BB want Ashleigh out because they don't want her to win, they want one of their pets to win Mark or Winston. They though by Marlon saving himself she would be gone last Friday. Didn't work because Ashleigh fans saved her by evicting Jale. Now they give the 3 newbies the power to evict. That Pav guy said in his VT he doesn't like Ashleigh. He will be more than capable of twisting the arm of the other 2 and Ashleigh goes on Friday without a public vote. They are manipulating the show, THEY DECIDE not the public. If they want to do that fine, but they should not be allowed to have public votes if they want to manipulate it all. They should make EVERY eviction housemates choice, not pick and choose.

The public have had such little say in the big decisions this series.
Helen is being too protected by BB. Usually there is a twist with this kind of thing but she is getting too much her way.
BB are wanting Helen, Ash, Mark & Winston at the end & the way things are going that is what it will be like.
Queen Helen & her three arse kissers.....................I mean friends (!).

Exactly my thoughts........... in fact I hope people will now stop voting in their droves and spend their hard earned cash on something more important than this nonsense.
Who goes...........you decide (well sometimes )

No point ever spending money to vote in an eviction if they're going to toss people out with no public vote.
What difference does that make? Each public vote affects the week it takes place and no more.
Last week's vote was for Friday's eviction and Friday's eviction only. With Jale's eviction that vote was closed and the results no longer required.
Voting to evict a housemate one week does not suddenly make any housemates immune from future twists/evictions.
Marsh.

I would've said that even without this twist. People spending a fortune a week on trying to vote someone out is a waste of money.
