So whats the thoughts on Ash and Helen taking their relationship further, kissing under the duvet etc?

I'm a bit disappointed tbqh and actually admired the strong friendship they had developed over the past 5 weeks or so, they also both said they wouldn't risk their friendship by taking it any further.

They were better as just good friends IMO, plus Ash's mum is going to be well pissed off now hahahaha

No thanks. Showmances should be banned.

Yeah I really didn't expect it to happen and I was enjoying watching them just be mates but I dunno after they had an argument something changed.

If anything Ash should have grabbed her mid argument, shoved her up against the wall and had a proper passionate kiss lol but we got the normal under the duvet embaressment.

Ive kissed my mates though when ive been drunk and we just laugh about it now. Sometimes stuff happens with mates but it doesn't mean anything.

Hoping they go back to just being good friends.

Not every relationship is a showmance lol - @caudle
Their acc genuine and taken things slow and ended up kissing one night. Way btter than steven n kim and winston n tamera who dug straight in.

IMO There's been sexual tension between the pair for ages, the fact that she got embarrassed when he picked her as best looking housemate, said it all!

To me it's a natural progression and they haven't just jumped onto one another, i thought it was quite sweet, just don't want them to go any further!

I like their relationship sometimes. I don't mind them kissing but it's another boring shownance that will dominate the highlight shows

Despite not being too keen on either of them..I do think this is one of the rare 'relationships' on the show that is actually real. Its been a long time coming, and it doesn't have to ruin their friendship or anything, I have kissed mates before and that's all.

I will be a bit pissed if they take over the shagging side of the show now that Kimbot has left though

Neither are sweet but they do seem well suited....although don't think it will last outside when Helen starts gobbling off to his mates!!
However I think they genuinely like each other and Ash won't take it any further in the house.

Have they not learned - BB fans have come to hate showmances?

Mick

I think he has grown to like her but does not really fancy her.Kim was his interest and she gave the not interested signals during the first week.So who was left.?

The sad thing is that Helen could make herself far more attractive if she stopped trying to be one of the lads.

Oh....i must've missed that, i heard her say she wasn't proud of certain things in her past, but didn't actually hear her say she was a prostitute. Well it says alot about him if he stands by her. (And i mean that positively:))

Ive always said they liked one another but didn't think anything would come off it because of their strong friendship. But like Marc said if it goes any further it will dominate the hl show esp now with Kim leaving and that annoys me;.
And lol yeah I agree what Josy said about Ashs mum

I was a bit disappointed too, but it's strange, I don't like them as individual housemates but I enjoy watching them together as friends.

Ugh just had a thought...BB will start setting them up on date nights and such now to try and force a showmance out of them...since their main 'mushy' couple are no more :bored:

I think it is time Ash explained to his Mother that he will have friends he chooses and be with who he wants.
I still like their relationship/friendship, I think they are in a way reacting to the uncertainty all around the house as to who could go in a flash next by BB's manipulation.

They have a NORMAL relationship going on, not a completely fabricated showmance like Kimberly and Steven. The most recent upload you can see them just chatting on the bed together and being NORMAL. It's funny because Ash is there chilling out, holding his can of whisky. :joker: Northern and normal

..even if it's a genuine thing and not a showmance, it will take up too much HL time because I think BB will try to push it as much as they can to engineer 'romance' so just no....

Big Brother 2014 housemates Helen Wood and Ash Harrison could be a lot closer than they seem.

On last night’s show we saw the pair getting rather close under the covers as the show ended.

Exactly what was going on between the pair wasn’t clear and we’ll probably never know for sure, but we can had a good guess…

Now some doubt has been cast on just how long the couple have known one another.

It’s been revealed this week that Ash’s ex-girlfriend Amber Leigh is a make up artist… and pals with Helen.

But not only that, Amber – who dated Ash for over a year – also works alongside Helen in her salon.

Although with Ash and Helen coming from the same area it’s no surprise their is some connection between them.

Meanwhile, Ash’s mum has revealed she hopes that her son doesn’t end up going all the way in the house.

She told new! magazine of the prospect of watching him have sex on the telly: “I’d be on the next plan to Tenerife because nobody would know over there!

“I’d just be so embarrassed and mortified”.

I don't know about a romance. Ash talks as if he doesn't really fancy her and is panicking and doesn't want things to go any further. When they were in bed tonight I heard kissing but then it stopped and then Ash said he couldn't be arsed and he couldn't bothered with a 'tent'. How romantic. :hehe:
It's a confusing relationship...not sure about it at all.

I've always thought there was something more to their 'friendship' just by the way they acted around each other so I wasn't surprised at all.

The above post by erinp5 was news to me and certainly provides an interesting angle. At the start I thought Ash would be the Ladies man but Kim made it clear she was not interested and Winston pounced quickly with Tam.Ashleigh was up front about her steady boy friend.

So I concluded that Helen became his "best mate" by default. If there was a pre show connection and between them a plan has been formed I am not sure what it is or if its working.? Last night Helen spoke of Ash being cold towards her recently and separate beds on the agenda then we see the closing shots.? Confusing but at least its providing some extra interest.

Helen has already said they have had a few drunken kisses but they are just mates.
It was just kissing last night as well, i dont think either of them will take it any further tbh.
I think Ash is getting fed up of all the comments on their 'relationship' and after Zoe saying he should be careful not to hurt Helen making it out as him & Helen was in a serious relationship, freaked him out a bit.
You could tell Helen was worried last night that after the task questions that it would cause a prob in their friendship & yet again Zoe telling her Ash had said he would take her on a date when they leave as confused the situation even more. I dont remember him saying that :conf:

They are more than just 'mates because mates don't snog or give each other BJs. As for this relationship, it will go further. Ash is terrified of hooking up with a hooker, and also of catching something, I suspect. :pipe2:

i dont think its a showmance, as in I dont believe it was deliberate, they sepnt weeks in the same bed before they succumbed to anything so I think it is a real friendship

I think its endearing how much Helen protests about the whole thing being talked about, its obvious that she really likes him but thinks that he will run a mile on the outside so she is building her defence wall now so its big enough by the time she leaves to deflect it all

Unfortunately she is telling herself stories, any kind of snub after this will hurt

I do think that Ash is a bit hurt when she stands firm about them being friends but to be honest, I cant really tell with him

I would like to think they will leave here and see each other without papers, cameras etc, but lets see

Amended, but agree with rest. No such thing as friends with benefits, friends who shag, kiss etc. Once a sexual element is involved you stop being friends. You don't see Ash climbing into Winston's bed for kiss cuddle and mild carnal fumbling under the covers.:joker:

its not a showmance, its not even a romance, they have become very good friends.and with hormones racing have just got a little confused about what they really want from this relationship. in tonights show helen was talking about sleeping seperately, lets see if that happens. I think zoe has added to the confusion when she took them to one side individually, telling them things that the other had said (which werent necesserily true), thought that was well weird

alex_front2
02-08-2014, 08:39 AM
Nope, helen blatantly wants to take things further ie a relationship post bb. She's only saying the "just friends" to save face and not scare Ash who can barely committ to a clean pair of pants let alone a woman.
