[Supermarket chief to leave in October
with near-£10m package after failing to halt slumping sales]

Under him it got worse
so the pay him a Big Send Off?

[Tesco has cancelled a party for Clarke
planned for Tuesday to celebrate 40 years
at the supermarket chain. Clarke joined the
supermarket as a schoolboy shelf-stacker
in 1974 and became CEO in 2011.]

How about not fobbing infected horses off as beef?... That affected sales not anything the CEO did or didn't do.
This price war with the other supermarkets is still raking in massive profits so nobody's going bust yet.

But Aldi , Lidl

And giving bigger discounts.
