Press release about the Power Alliance...

The Power has returned and is more powerful than ever!

Last night, Ashleigh became the new Power Housemate and today, a powerful alliance will begin to form.

Ashleigh will be asked to pick an ally to join her as the Power Housemate. This ally will be immune from nomination and between them they will choose their first Housemate to nominate for eviction.

All Housemates will be gathered and Big Brother will announce the first person nominated for eviction.

The two allies will choose a third person to join the alliance. Together they will select a second person to nominate for eviction.

To clarify, the alliance will continue to grow tomorrow and more Housemates will face eviction this week.

They need to choose Steven before they invite Steven lovers into the alliance.

This.

Poor program, good and boring has to prevail over on the edge and interesting.

Give me the 'cool gang' any day of the week.

Yet but it's fine this time because Ashleigh's safe.

:hehe: Notice how a lot of the attitudes to these twists change dependent on who is involved?

If Ashleigh hadn't been voted PH, we'd have had 5 threads about how BB is trying to have her pushed out of the show.

You can either be an actual victim or paint yourself as one and the 'Victim' group the so called 'underdogs' are playing their hand well.

Poor me, look at them, I haven't got anything interesting to say or do and I feel threatened by the mere fact that the 'cool gang' are in the house so I will just bitch, make accusations sit in a corner and monitor.

What the fcuk would these cretins do if there wasn't a supposed 'cool gang' in the house ,the program would lose a million viewers over night.

The reason Helen was given a pass to the final by BB was the fact that she makes, like or hate her, good TV. This sticks in the gullet of the so called victims, they just don't get it, they will never be 'hip', interesting or 'cool. they know it and it irks them.

Did the public have any say in the Marlon or Danielle evictions?

Yes I think so....and I hope that they play it right and put Winston and Mark up against the one that they really want rid of!...The thing is,..who would that be?...Ashleigh would probably still gun for Ash...but Chris may well go for Pav...and Christopher , I feel that he would want to put Steven up there?? :conf:

I think the point they were making was that the public had control over this twist - or at least choosing the PH - hence it's acceptable.

Looking forward to this.

I usually hate when the mess with nominations but I'm looking positively about this.

I'm wondering if they're going to have to add a new PH every time they nominate someone. Assuming Helen's immune, that means 9 housemates, so 5 PH and 4 up for nomination? I guess if that happened it would be Steven, Ash, Winston and Pav up.

Yep, me too. As long as they don't twist it around... Otherwise the next few weeks it would just be Ashleigh, Chris, Christopher and probably Pav up every week.

Could be...and I have a sneaky suspicion that one of the PH's will also be secretly up for eviction!...Maybe all whom Ashleigh picks to join her...hence Ashleigh is unwittingly putting Her best friends up against her enemy's ????? :spin:

Im TOTALLY sick of them messing with nominations. In the almost 7 weeks we have hardly had ONE week where there was no twist or messing. FED UP WITH THE LOT OF THEM. Its very obvious Ashleigh will chose her two little lap dogs Chris and Christopher to join her and Ash is a definite bet to be up along with probably Pav or Zoe it wont be Mark cos of Christophers thing with him, it wont be Mark it cant be Helen and I reckon Steven may scrape through hard to say

Jamesy
21-07-2014, 05:18 PM
This will pretty much guarantee Steven's eviction this week then.

Ashleigh - Chris - Christopher - Mark. I think that will be the order of who is brought into the alliance. They are Ashleigh's friends and she said that in diary room too. If there is a 5th member don't know who they would choose, hope not bloody Steven  Maybe Zoe yeah.

Also I think the final nominated housemate might be Helen as they will offer Ashleigh the chance to remove her final pass and give it to a member of her alliance. The cost would be putting herself up for eviction along with the other 4 housemates.

Chris is already confirmed as immune so that can't happen

Doesn't say anything about anyone else being immune though so there may be a twist of some sort.

Achilles
21-07-2014, 05:23 PM
I don't think there will be a twist. I reckon that next week one of those who were not in the alliance will be power housemate and they get to form their own alliance. So public vote someone like Winston would win then he forms his Ash, Helen posse etc. It be like a war each week to the final and I actually think that would be good fun

Oh thanks Josy! ...didn't know that! ...But you just know that there will be a twist, and BB can change anything at anytime that they think things are not going to plan!

these twists have evicted ALL of Ashleigh/Chris's side why are you all complaining/saying it's iffy
-Toya
-Matthew
-Marlon [When he'd joined Dani/Ashleigh]
- Danielle

all from the same side of the house, it's about time the bully gang was taken down, Helen/Ash will be fine for me

So which other twists are you referring to?

The ones which don't result in Ashleigh being in an immune position or anything suddenly become "ploys by Big Brother to have Ashleigh evicted".

I'm sure if they actually gave a damn who wins (which they don't) and wanted certain housemates evicted, they'd be gone.
