Do people still use msn?.

It's part of Skype now. If you had an MSN / Live account you can login to Skype with it, I think.

MSN was replaced with Skype, if you have an MSN account you can now log into Skype with it and your contacts should be there.

I use a program called Trillian to connect to Skype. The official Skype client uses too much memory.

Although the company behind Trillian said the other day they might have to remove Skype from it.

I would use Skype but the lack of "plus" services put me off... the inability to use custom screen names, send sounds, the silly wink things (not that important but amusing from time to time) and custom emoticons :(
