Why oh why oh WHY is it being CONSTANTLY mentioned that Ashleigh is only eighteen. In my eyes eighteen is an adult and there have been plenty of young housemates in the house in the past but I have never heard it brought up so much both inside and outside the house. They were on AGAIN bout it on BOTS tonight. Ashleigh shouldn't been given extra praise etc cos of her age. She should be treated equally to all the other housemates regardless of their age

The Ashleigh haters are always mentioning it

It's Ashleigh fans on here that keep mentioning it (not me though, as her age is irrelevant)

It's getting frustrating.

Exactly, don't think I've heard her mention her age once..

being young is a huge advantage. at 18 you're like any other adult...you know what you're doing. unless you're winston then you'll be thick whether your 18 or 80.

They are all old enough to be on the show so they should be treated as adults.

Yup. It's ridiculous. She's old enough to be in first year University...you would think it's first year Secondary school kid in the house.

There are kids younger than Ashleigh caring for disabled parents etc.

Ashleigh often shows signs of being a spoilt brat. Sorry, I don't really buy in to the view that she is ever so mature for her age.

She is a vegetarian and is a big fundraiser for a re-homing centre for cats and dogs due to her love of animals.

Ashleigh would rather have love than money because ‘you always see celebrities who have enough money to feed the world and they’re unhappy’.

Ashleigh says if she won Big Brother she would donate some of her winnings to charity

She sounds like such a disgusting person :yuk:

If I wanted to win this and the charity story helped me, I would offer to donate some to charity as well, depends how much she is willing to donate though. Is it part of her game plan, who knows but she isnt missy perfect she is pretending to be.

Why oh why oh why did you bring it up AGAIN! Seeing as you did, Ashleigh is an AMAZING 18 YEAR OLD with more maturity in her little finger than the likes of the robot slut Kim or the vile slut Helen.
A 5 year old isn't usually as mature as a 10 year old,
A 12 year old isn't usually as mature as a 17 year old,
And an 18 year old isn't usually as mature as a 27 year old.
The fact that she IS A LOT more mature is the reason it is brought up. Because it's unusual and she's AMAZING! :cheer2:

Absolutely. She has certainly not indicated what proportion of the winnings she would give away.

And who's going to be able to check, maybe months or even years down the line, whether she actually gave anything away at all.

It is a very easy statement to make because you can never be properly called out on it.

Well it says in her bio that she is a big fundraiser for a re - homing centre for cats and dogs due to her love of animals, so why are people assuming if she won she would not give some of the money to charity? What charitable work are any of the clique involved in? Keeping themselves stocked up on booze and fags perhaps?

Princess Arsinaway (spelled wrong) was younger than Ashleigh and she nearly brought down the great warrior Julius Cesar. She was incidentally the younger sister of the now infamous Cleopatra. Never underestimate a woman of any age because their brains are more developed than a mans of the same age and their instinct for survival is also far more advanced. So when you take that analagy, the wicked Cleopatra (Helen) won over her nemesis (Ashleigh) and it didnt take long before Mark Anthony (Ash) fell foul of Cleopatra's charms and the rest we know.

So history teaches us to be carefull of the younger woman, because there is always someone better and more dangerous than the hunter. Arsinaway was found and squashed by the elder sister Cleopatra, in our case the moral of the story is that if Ashleigh openly declares war on Helen, she might just be back scooping dog poop at her rescue center a little quicker than she planned.

Our temple of Artimus where Arsinaway met her death is Elstree and it was Mark Anthony's army that did the dirty deed for Cleopatra, so Ash still has his uses. Now I am off to bed with my Cleopatra and hope I dont get poisoned by an asp because she hates the telly on when she is trying to get her beauty sleep and trust me, she needs it, lol.

..great post Jet, for an 18yr old she's extremely mature and more so than most in the house..especially if you compare her to Helen who with the life she has led, should really be quite 'worldy' and considerate to others but she's completely self-centred...anyway, age is often mentioned in BB in many ways so I don't know why Ashleigh's seems an issue at being mentioned in regard to people admiring her at such a young age ...Pauline...a bully at her age..'...'Denise Welsh, behaving that way at her age..'...'awww, Glyn, he's young and niave..' all such things like that which have in the past referred to age and many more I would think....

..anyway, she's a tough little lady to have survived that house of hate and that's what I like about her....

Age has no relevance when a game is afoot. Actions speak louder than words and Ashleigh is proving to be a very streetwise girl/woman, but it still does not erradicate the fact that when she gets ruffled, she shows traits of Attila the Hun.

The thread I made was that I am sick of people mentioning it. I didn't make it co concur that she is 'Only 18' To me she is an adult and should be bloody treated like one. You would think she is in secondary school the way people go on about it !!!!!!

Im entitled to create a thread about anything I feel strongly about Jet and last nights BOTS kept saying it again so I then created the thread. She is an adult and should be treated the same as all the other adults in there fair enough if people like her for whatever reason but her age shouldn't be brought into it in my opinion

tbf she's barley out of school so I don't see the issue in mentioning it, 18 is quite young, it's just about an adult  I know when my kids are 18 I'll probably still see them as kids, infact they will still be going to school. Either way, it's not her fault people on BOTS mention it, is it? That's what they feel so why shouldn't they say it if they wish. It's not that big of a deal really lol

For the majority of this series she has been a really miserable 18 year old. Very few light moments and getting into things from her at all.

There are 18 year olds in the armed forces - and they are expected to give their lives if need be.
