View Full Version : Awful editing
Awful editing, just vomit inducing
And I thought it was getting better! :suspect:

The editing is done on a rota system so maybe they've hired a few people who don't like doing that and tonight's was done by a montage lover.
Marcus must decide to be tacky when the editing is tacky because he's been okay the past few days but tonight again he's been disgusting
Am I the only one who doesn't mind the editing? D; I mean sometimes its annoying because we only see parts of conversations and stuff but it's always been that way. I don't think it effects my enjoyment of the show though. I didn't notice that it had changed from last weeks tbh

It's the montages and the title cards as well. Like when 'Bruvstock' came across the screen then exploded into tiny pieces:umm2:
And the music videos of the housemates waking up and getting dressed are getting worse.

I genuinly didn't notice the bruvstock thing  I get the whole music video montage thing though, it's just following the TOWIE type shows, which is fair as it is another reality show.

Yeah, I hate the openings with the dramatic music, Marcus shouting and explosions, colours, housemate images etc etc.
A 5 second "coming up" was fine.

:nono: BB used to set the trend.
Now it's a follower.

True! :/ is the following really working though? I'd love to see what they could do if they went back to how they did things in, say 2006 and what impact that would have on ratings etc.
Marsh.

Yeah, BB going all retro.
The sad thing is if it did go back to it's editing in like 2006 then it would probably be 'too simple' and 'behind the times'.
I think sadly this awful editing is the only way to go unfortunately.

Tbh, editing wise. If that went back to normal I don't think people would realise.
Marcus would never agree I don't think to go back to his much cut back role when he said '_.__pm, some of the housemates are in the garden' every 10 or so minutes. Now he introduces the live shows, tells the housemates when they're evicted, has a 5 minute sequence at the beginning on what has already happened and what will happen and his narrating is like '_.__pm, Winston and Danielle are at the smoking shelter dicussing last night's events when Ash bent Helen over the pod and they enjoyed a late night, and Danielle is not happy'.
I'd honestly jump for joy if next summer we only get a 5 second teaser at the beginning with 'Coming Up' flashing at the bottom and old Marcus back. Why the hell is he so bad? :umm2:

Marcus goes so OTT it's almost unbearable, he has some good days but most of the time he's awful. Agree about the music videos of housemates waking up, I cringe.

They got a little overexcited with both him and Brian when they were the only C4 BB things to cross over. BB12 really was mind numbing.
They even have Emma introduce Marcus in the live shows nowadays. :umm2:

Yeah, have they got that from BB Aus?
I've noticed on youtube that their host is introduced and walks down a ramp to some dance music. :suspect:
Whatever happened to Davina just standing outside the house?

I miss that so much<3
If Emma was standing on the stage and suddenly turned around 'It's the witch...vs the bitch!' (One of her best ones ever) I'd die.
At least they've got an outside setting which is sort of like the old days, can you imagine the BBUS set-up where the single door to the house is on the stage in front of the crowd?:umm2:
My point exactly:smug:
I won't be associating myself with most of the crowd :smug:

You'll probs get beat up for not engaging in their low class antics

I'm still reeling from the fact that BBUS have the same house every single year just repainted.
Chant "Get The Crowd Out! Get The Crowd Out!"
Do you want him to get glassed? :umm2:

I'm still laughing from the fact everybody was running from the BBUK forum when Toya was evicted saying they'd just be watching BBUS from now on but came back once they realized they weren't American:smug:

I genuinly would  wouldn't want them rushing out all of a sudden and tripping over their dressing gowns and uggs though would we?

Uggs are quite expensive tbh

Not fake ones :hehe:

They still cost more than the typical bottle of Cherry Lambrini

Agree.
I know we'll never recapture the 'radical social experiment' vibe of early BB, but I hate the tacky gameshow feel of the montages.
I'd prefer a 'boring' but real episode to a 'music video' episode any day!

The best way, it's time we enclosed the front of the house into an indoor studio with a respectful audience as opposed to a scummy crowd that ruin the eviction shows
Marsh.

No, no, no. Bring the respectable audience and shoot them if they chant but leave the house outside.
Get rid of all the flashy neon, twirly platform and gimmicky eye opening. It's all trying to make pointless drama out of...... Someone walking out of a door.
