What's the twist

Headie
22-07-2014, 09:27 PM
Zoe is the final nominee

Marcus.
22-07-2014, 09:27 PM
wowers

Headie
22-07-2014, 09:28 PM
All it was was Zoe got nominated, then Big Brother asked the three Power Alliance members to stand up - thus revealing who had nominated the nominees.

EDIT: The nominated HMs had to choose one of them to escape eviction and replace that person with one of the 3 Power HMs. Ash was saved and Ashleigh was replaced.

Josy
22-07-2014, 09:29 PM
Is that the twist

Yaki da

Ashleigh has replaced Ash up for eviction.

It's annoying how they've manipulated so many things due to the power, but haven't even done anything about getting rid of Helen's pass to the final, which is something that the majority of the public want and would be satisfied with.

Who chose Ashleigh? I wasnt aware of the "public choosing" did the public actually vote for her?

Brother Leon

People need to realise that having the power isn't supposed to be a flawless quality. It's a curse disguised as a reward pretty much.

omg I didn't think about this... they know the public wanted her to be it, so why have this twist when it's even possible for her to go up?

I'm not usually annoyed by twists.. but Ashleigh has become my favourite this week ;/

Ashleigh is going safe anyway, the smart choice for nominated group would have been mark.

VanessaFeltz.
22-07-2014, 09:39 PM
Im so pissed.

First they got Jale out by saving marlon.
Then they got Danielle out by giving the power to two clowns
Then they are putting up Ashleigh and people voted her to be power housemate.

That's completely fair because we've seen that happen with Pauline, but when production intervene with something for the sake of it, it kind of makes everything pointless and redundant.

Yeah, no one saw this one coming, it's an epic twist that's never been done befo... oh no... wait... it's been done already. This year. Like... twice. And similar things every year on Ch 5.

It barely even qualifies as a twist... one of the three in the "alliance" being up was completely to be expected, surely? A bigger twist would have been if they'd said "...and that's it. The ones they've nominated are up. No catch."

I would have been genuinely shocked... and still waiting for the "But..." at the end of the show on Friday. If they just did the interview and rolled the credits, I'd THEN be like ":conf::conf::shocked::conf::shocked: OMG what a twist!

Yeah I'm not terribly concerned really... I mean Jale was evicted over Ashleigh and:

a) Jale was nowhere near as terrible a person as Steven
b) Jale was quite popular (and had way more fans than Steven)
and c) Ashleigh's popularity has only soared since that week

so it's pretty comfortably a Steven eviction this week

The latest Big Brother 2014 nominations results are in – but just who is facing eviction this week?

This week saw the Power return to the house after Ashleigh Coyle was voted by the public to become the new Power housemate.

She formed the Power Alliance, picking Chris R Wright, Mark Byron and X to join her in Power.

They picked who to nominate, delivering one name at a time to the Diary Room before Big Brother announced their choices to the group.

First to be nominate was Steven Goode, followed by Ash Harrison.

Then the group got help from evicted housemates Biannca Lake, Matthew Davies and Danielle McMahon who all returned to the house and gave the Power Alliance advice on who to nominate.

After chatting to the evicted housemates, the Alliance then put Pavandeep Paul up for the eviction.

Finally, the group chose Zoe Birkett to face eviction.

However…

This evening, Big Brother pulled a huge twist.

After announcing Zoe as the latest nominated housemate, Big Brother revealed to the house: “Earlier this week, a secret Power Alliance was created in the house formed of three housemates. These three housemates alone decided who faced eviction this week.

“Housemates, it’s time to feel the full force of the Power.”

The three power housemates then revealed themselves, with Helen bitching: “So much for having a nice week and getting along like happy families, what a load of s**t.”

Big Brother explained: “You have had the Power but that power will come at a cost.

“Nominated housemates, you have tow choices to make, you must chose which one of you is saved from eviction and which member of the Power alliance replaces you.”

The four nominated housemates chose Ash to be saved and replaced him with Ashleigh.

As a result, Ashleigh, Pav, Steven and Zoe face eviction this week.

I would have been genuinely shocked... and still waiting for the "But..." at the end of the show on Friday. If they just did the interview and rolled the credits, I'd THEN be like ":conf::conf::shocked::conf::shocked: OMG what a twist!

Cow bitch Helen know's fine well if it was her alliance that Chris, Ashleigh and Christopher would be up so why's she screaming and yelling again? Oh, right sorry, I forgot that she's an alcoholic.

It's 2014. It's all about equality.
Is it really? I'd beg to differ.

What a gentleman Ash is, sly worm.

The gentlemanly thing to have done would have been to save the one female. He's like the Billy Zane character in Titanic, he'd take the last lifeboat for himself.

He's a Maggot

I was just beginning to warm to him a bit, but this has put me right off again. He just stood there like the little worm that he is and said 'Are you sure' 'Are you sure'. So damn pathetic. He should at least have protested a BIT instead of pretending to be all concerned for the others yet saying *uck all but 'Are you sure'!

Josy

Why should he protest against being saved?

Vicky.

Its a game, they are all out for themselves. And I dont think being female is any reason to be saved either tbh

If I had been up for what 5/6 weeks in a row? no chance I would protest against being saved, stuff that, it's a gameshow...

Is it only a game when Ashleigh and Mark are playing or can the others join in. Ash has done nothing wrong so why not want to be saved so he can stay with the bird for a bit longer. I mean who the hell wants to go home this late in the show except Ashleigh. Oh sorry i forgot she only wants to go home when she isnt up. My mistake.

Will be better than Toya going and Matthew going combined

Ashleigh's group:

Bottom 2:

I think 'bottom 2' and Ashleigh's group will merge :fc:

So much more intelligence in that allegiance, and I can't see Winston attacking anybody unless they have a go at him (unlikely). Steven will be gone friday, so it could end up 5v3 in the divide, Helen's always had numbers on her side as well. :smug:

I hope Winston ends up drifting into Ashleighs group at some point too, because he clearly likes them all.

..you know I'm not a fan of Ash but to be fair, the fact that he didn't protest doesn't really bother me because every single one of them is a gameplayer, they're not chosen for their fine qualities or because they're great self-sacrificing people, if they were that, all that would happen is a house full of people saying...oh, you save yourself..no you do..no you, I insist...aww, are you sure..?...that's so nice of you....you know what I mean, and how long would we want to watch that for...I think it's more and not just with Ash but I general, how they all play their games..(and we decide which of the games are least offensive/we prefer most..)....and yet, Marlon was blasted and judged so much for playing his game and seeking survival with the buzzer thing...I think as it goes on and with this series, it has to be more about avoiding nomination because the crowd reactions have been so mixed so you can be booed one week/cheered the next/booed again etc so no one can feel 'safe and favourite/popular' because the HL edits change so much from week to week and therefore the crowd reactions to them..so I think at least Ash showed a reaction that was honest..to have said ...to have said, oh don't choose me guys, I really don't mind being up a 7th time, one of you be saved instead would have just been plain dumb....

..Helen was just as irritating as ever though with her...'oh we were having such a great week..tut tut you three...' attitude though because they were also playing the game, what were they meant to do..?..what would she have done if given the power, refuse to chose people..?...and as if she holds such store on them all getting along and being a 'happy house' with how she behaves...

..anyway, every single housemate has showed double standards at one time or another/it's ok if something suits their agenda/it's not and they kick off if it doesn't and probably the same for most fans as well because it's the confusion/conflict between 'fine qualities' and 'gameplay', when really it's mostly game-play and not one single one of them should be criticised for doing that or wanting to survive....for me, it was only ever through the 'everyday' chats/interactions etc we used to get with livefeed that we were able to have any insight into their actual characters and how some of those finer qualities would emerge because 'gameplay masks' would slip under that closer scrutiny...but with HLs all we ever get now is gameplayers and not 'real'/whole people.....

..I think I've drastically gone off topic.....but yeah, whether I like Ash or not, I don't blame him for accepting his immunity this week so readily ..I just wished they had showed more understanding to Marlon/still smarting over the unfairness of his eviction and how he was made to feel in the week before he went....

How many weeks are we in now and the public still not getting that having the power is a curse, if normal noms next week and Ashleigh stays it will be Ashleigh v Chris v Mark, vote Ash or Winston for PH next time please

What a complete and utter load of f ucked up bulls hit this programme has become.

Constant meddling with the format, twists on twists so that the public have no say in trying to keep HM safe from eviction.

This programme is in the toilet bowl, someone needs to flush this crap away...

The production want Mark to win. Ashleigh was getting to popular. Hence this unannounced twist.

Good point we all know that what is shown (or not) can have a huge influence on each HM chance.I suspect that if challenged the producers would claim they are completely fair and un biased and how could we as viewers prove otherwise.?

Has there ever been an ex employee of the show who has blown the whistle and exposed what really goes on.? The show needs the viewers to pay to vote but those who start to feel mugged off may be less inclined to continue doing so.

If they want Mark to win this has probably backfired after his behaviour as PH. I still kind of like Mark but don't have much respect for him anymore.

Helen seems to think anybody who nominates her buddies is a dick head/back stabber. Does she not know how the show works?

This twist was always going to be bad for Ashleigh
