According to BB Spy

Verbatim quote from Channel 5 press release today: "All Housemates in the Alliance will be immune from eviction"
bbspy @bbspy · 4h
So not only are the producers lying to the housemates, they're also now lying to the public. Do @channel5_tv @bbuk have no shame? #bbuk
bbspy @bbspy · 4h
Just 'cause this needs repeating, @bbuk actually lied to us - quote: "All Housemates in the Alliance will be immune from eviction" #bbuk

No doubt you're right to laugh. But I can't remember them ever going as far as they've gone this year.

Ashleigh Coyle will join Pavandeep Paul, Steven Goode and Zoe Birkett in facing the ninth Big Brother 2014 eviction following an unexpected conclusion to the Power Alliance twist.
After being voted the new Power Housemate by viewers on Sunday, Ashleigh was instructed to form a ‘Power Alliance’, with the model recruiting Chris and Mark to join her.
The Power Alliance was told that they would be immune from this week’s eviction – with Channel 5 also informing the public of this via a press release, which read: “All Housemates in the Alliance will be immune from eviction.”
Together, the trio nominated Steven, Ash and Pav – and tonight, they chose their final victim, with Big Brother gathering the group to reveal that Zoe would also face the public vote.
Big Brother then instructed the Power Alliance to stand, with Helen remarking: “That’s nice Ashleigh. So much for having a nice week getting on like happy families. What a load of ****.”
Despite the earlier immunity announcement, there was a sting in the tail for the Alliance. “Ashleigh, Chris and Mark, you have had the Power, but that Power will come at a cost,” said Big Brother. “Nominated housemates, one of you is about to escape eviction.
“You have two decisions to make. You must choose which one of you will escape eviction, and you must choose which member of the Power Alliance will face eviction in your place.”
“I’m gonna go on Friday. I’m happy to be up for nomination. Put me out of here,” Steven insisted, adding that he believed Zoe would be safe. “The next person I’d choose is Ash.”
Zoe also revealed that she wasn’t bothered: “I don’t mind going up. Nothing’s a cert.”
Eventually, Steven confirmed that Ash would be saved from eviction. After another short discussion with the nominees, he added that they wanted Ashleigh to take his place.
“The housemates facing this week’s eviction are Steven, Pav, Zoe and Ashleigh,” confirmed Big Brother. “The Power Alliance has been disbanded. The Power has gone.. for now.”
“Big Brother man, this is sick,” exclaimed Pav.
The next live eviction show airs this Friday at 9.00pm on Channel 5.

Toya was elected by her fellow HMs to be the PH. She was then asked to choose someone to share the power with. Emma immediately told us on the Friday after she made her choice that one of them would also face the public vote. They may have lied to Toya and Matthew, but they did not lie to the viewers (though they never told us how the decision was going to be made - Steven replacing himself with Toya).
Ashleigh was voted PH and we, the viewers, were told on the main show, on BOTS and in the press releases that she was immune. Even Rylan believed her to be immune.
See a rather glaring difference here?

Having the power has been a curse for every person that has had it, when Ashleigh got it her response was "why me"' when is the penny going to drop with the public who continue to give it to their favorites :spin:

Irrelevant to the point being made... We were told on the show, on BOTS and in the press releases that they were immune. They are now not only lying to the housemates, they are now also lying to the viewers.

Ok, no worries. I like the twists, but i think this one was unfair. Power housemates are supposed to be immune.

Thanks Yaki, came on the forum this morning and didn't have a clue what was going on!!
You've given a brilliant explanation.
It's a mess and it was probably a last minute decision. The power alliance was a good idea, revealing it and letting Ashleigh go up was not however.
No doubt it'll be Toya and Matthew power couple all over again, where Ashleigh will get all the blame like Toya did and Chris and Mark will sit back quietly like Matthew did.

I've never seen such messy production work. Everything seems to be conjured up or changed at the last minute.

Oh my, oh my, haven't people on here got their knickers in a right old twist.
BB can do what they want, change their rules at the drop of a hat.
It couldn't have happened to a more two faced house mate. Notice how they came 'alive' when they were given something scripted to do. Chris and Ashleigh were in their element. Not having to think or do anything off their own bat other than plot who they were going to put up for eviction- something that proved to be very easy for them both to do.
Notice how Mark has his eye on the 100k, if I was in there that would be the last thing on my mind, there is no way you can engineer it so you can win, the winner was there from day 1, just go in and enjoy your self and immerse you whole being in everything BB if you end up winning then you were the one all along.
I reiterate, you are dealing with quantam Maths, the public, the contestants and then BB, there is no way you can engineer a win, you just end up looking like the bitter, conniving mug that you are pretending not to be.

That's right Cherie and also as Chuff said, BB are I really believe just making things up as they go along too.
They've done that many twists this series they appear to be in a right twist themselves now.

This series is a joke.. First with Toya and now Ashleigh! And people had taken the time to vote Ashleigh. As the Power HM, obviously meaning she is popular outside then it seems ridiculous that they would create a twist to put her back up for eviction :bored:

It's all very wrong.
Jale was excused one week when she was supposed to have the killer nomination....
Asleigh Chris and Mark were told they were immune...then suddenly one of them isn't....
Now BB...take away Helens pass... Unless that's what they are building up to..
If you can backtrack on Ashleigh you can take Helens pass away....DO IT.

YOU MUST SHOW THEM THEY CAN NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS THE ONLY WAY IS TO SPEND MORE ON VOTING SO ASHLEIGH IS SAFE
