Cheryl Cole's new perfume will apparently earn her 1.2 million if the pre orders are to be believed but nobody has smelt it yet so I was wondering do you smell them before you buy or do you buy scents on the strength of their brand or celebrity endorsement.

I never buy without smelling them first and the celebrity means nothing to me, I wear La Vie est Belle at the moment.

I always smell them first before buying, but if it's a certain celebrity's perfume that I want anyway I just buy it in that case.

I always smell before buying and I rarely like celebrity perfumes anyway tbh, I think the only one I ever liked the smell of was Mrs Wright by Mark Wright :umm2: think it was only about 15 quid too

I have never bought perfume for myself, and the only time I have bought it for someone else is for my mum who gets the same stuff everytime, so no.

Aftershave is so expensive I never really buy it myself and just get it as presents, the stuff lasts bloody ages anyway

I always get a ton of celebrity perfumes at Christmas, some one actually bought me Josie Gibson perfume a couple of years ago they never even knew who she was and said I bought you that because it says Josie on it

yes

but this frustrates me with deodorant and air freshener... i always try to subtly give each a spray and a whiff but feel a bit scummy about doing it

My OH gets embarrassed if I do that when he's with me but I don't really care  I spray it then make sure I take another can from right at the back of the shelves to buy because lots of people spray the ones at the front.

Never, perfume is like clothes you wouldn't wear something that looked totally stupid on you just because it was in fashion would you?
