Wooow! This never happens to us!

Torrential rain throughout the night and this morning has meant that roads are like mini-rivers, and to our delight, the ground floor of the school was flooded with litres and litres of rainwater!

Teachers were even having to sweep the water out of the corridors with brooms!

We've been sent home, so school's out!

It's ironic, in tonnes of snow, the school just plods on, but simple ol' water shuts the place down completely!

Bet everyone at your school cheered lol.

We used to get quite a few snow day's, most of the time I managed to hear on the radio that the school had been closed down but last year I walked through a snow storm only to be told the school was closing

Twas most severe in Deeping, Kiz, that's where I go to school.

No need to panic, everything drained away really quickly, was just a bit scary when it first happened! It was like Noah's Ark M.II!

Lol Dan! Last year, or a couple of years ago, there was a huuge snowstorm forecast, so all the preps were made to send us home, e.g. arranging buses etc... but ended up making us walk home in the snowstorm they were trying to avoid, lool!

Thats Lucky, Half off my primary scholl burnt down 5 years ago and year 6 was made to go in. (meaning me) anyway we've never had a snow day or a rain day. but i wish that would happen here.

Not something that happens every day, lol!
Really lucky you got the day off anyway.
I live in the Midlands sort of area, and here we've had horrible mornings with some rain but then it clears up and goes sunny all of a sudden!
Weird, and quite a difference as well!

There was a massive thunder storm down here last night as well, obviously not as bad as where you are, but our electric keeps going on and off all the time.
