i was driving home yesterday with my sister and her friend when we had been in the car for about 30 mins and then I pulled into the driveway and my sister friend shouted in pain and I was like oMG WAT and she told me she got stung by a wasp. I was like are you sure? cause I thought by the way she screamed it was a spider which was just as scary and then she lifted up her legs of the seat, and yeah, you guessed it this little bitch of a wasp was sitting there rubbing its hands like it had conquered the world.

anyway so we all run out of the car screaming like little girls and then I stupidly say to my sister 'well at least it wasnt one of us' and then I was like omfg what is wrong with me

i said it because my sister and I could both be allergic, as both my grandmothers were and so is my only aunt... we havent been stung so we wont know till it happens.

but yeah I said it in front of my sisters friend and like looked at her as if to say 'omfg im so sorry' because i was so ashamed

so yeah, have you ever been stung by a wasp?

Actually I was stung by bee, it kinda didn't do it properly, so it was sore, but the stinger was kinda hanging out. I felt sorry for the bee as it died.

'well at least it wasnt one of us'

Last time I was stung by a wasp was last summer. Haven't been stung by a bee since I was wee.

They are bigger than wasps yeah, I had to go to hispital because I got stung twice and my arm started swelling. They hurt loads, it felt like I had been injected with acid.

No but I imagine that I punch it square in it's wasp face with my anger issues if it ever does sting me.

By a bee, bugger got me right in the eye too so it made me look like a right tit when it swelled up loads

Bees and wasps are two things I'm surprisingly comfortable with though, everyone hates the poor wasps but I've never felt that threatened by them really as long as you're not trying to start a fight with them

No, nearly was on saturday evening though.. There I was, enjoying a nice refreshing cider, at which point I looked down to see a wasp sitting on my leg, ready to attack.. Now, I'm never one to usually touch a wasp so trying to brush it off seemed unlikely at first, but I had to if I hoped to survive.. Luckily, I managed to get the wasp off just in time with my leg unharmed.

It was actually pretty horrific, don't like going into details about it

Well I might have exaggerated that a bit, didnt get me literally right in the eyeball but just under it or over it, can't remember which, so it was all around the eye which swelled

I've been stung 5 times, I believe.

Twice on my belly, once on my right ring finger, once on my top lip and once on my arm.

Yes, the poor bee died after it though so I felt bad even though it stung me:laugh:

I don't know the difference between a bee and a wasp :umm2:

Anyway the first time was when I was around 6, I was eating a jam sandwich in school and got stung on my lip.

I got stung randomly one time after that.

When I was around 11 all of the kids who lived here would walk around this fence that had lots of flowers and nettles, it was a long walk. While walking we would catch wasps/bees in empty bottles, I don't know why we did it, I guess we thought we were protecting the people? Anyway, one time I had a few in a bottle and my neighbour shook the bottle and opened it and emptied them onto me, so I was stung twice on my belly and once on my finger all at once. :umm2: I'll never forget that day.

I got stung for the first time last year....I have always managed to freak out enough to get away from them in the past but a bee was resting on my washing and I went to bring the washing in and it stung me  I felt kind of sad coz it would die. I quite often put sugar water out for bees but wasps better not come near me :fist: I try to be braver around them now so my little boy doesn't get my fear (I was terrified when he was tiny that if there was a wasp around I would abandon him in his pram and leg it if one came near us).

I've been stung by all sorts of bugs... but my brother had quite a nasty one when a wasp flew inside his full-face crash helmet and stung him while he was going about 70mph.
