It is because the majority of viewers are unaware of his game plan. They believe he is a genuine guy who is unfairly picked on and don't realize that from day one he has played the Jar Jar Binks role to annoy people and get sympathy vote. Jale tried it but she was too nasty a person to keep up the facade. Christopher is a nicer person real world so has been able to keep it up much longer. I only started to notice during the mole task during Armageddon week.
