Pop idol to Replace Love Island!!!

ITV: We'll get Idol back on

ITV wants to bring back Pop Idol — to replace its flop show Love Island.

The show’s creator Simon Fuller is currently revamping the talent contest and pitching it to various stations.

And ITV entertainment chief Paul Jackson said: “We want to be included in the pitch round.”

The station ran two series of Pop Idol then commissioned X Factor in 2004. Insiders said ITV now wants to run BOTH, with Pop Idol in the summer.

But ex-Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell will not take part due to his X Factor commitments.

Sky One is also likely to bid.

Yes it should!!! Love island was Cr*p EVERY TV critic critiseed it and thats BAD BB is WAYYYYYYYY better then that cheap tacky Love Island What a waste of 12million BB only cost 6million and it was better. I heard that ITV have axed it anyway.....and if not YET then they will ITV know themselfs that it is a FLOP:laugh:

I think so i think it only got 4 to 5 million as the Judges were Mean..... another reason why this will flop Simon Cowell wont be involved.... and anyway X-factors basicly is Pop Idol but with Groups and NO age limit and with a different name:bored: ITV ARE RUBBISH AT REALITY TV even Im a celeb is getting boring:bored:

But The X Factor is better then Pop Idol.

I HATE Love Island
Pop Idol is the BEST..Its a lotbetter than X Factor and none of the X Factor winners have got anywhere at all.

Will Young from PI one is a MAJOR Superstar and a few of the others from PI1 are still going. Gareth Gates is working in the studio, Darius is living in Hollywood, Zoe is performing in Las Vegas, Hayley is in Grease in Manchester and more recently Paris! And I think most if not ALL are still performing!

Pop Idol 2 winner Michelle may no longer be singing but she is a DJ on my local radio station Clyde 2. Sam and Mark are TV presenters and many of them are still performing.

I think if you look at it like that, then peole in PI did a LOT better than the contestants in X Factor.:tongue:
