To be fair, most people are different around their friends than when around their family and that's probably what he's referring to.

I'm not saying he's not fake, but that's probably what he meant.

To be honest if you wanted to be fake then why would you fake Mark's personality. Especially in a house where the main game is for people to like you.

I don't think he's fake, I think he's most likely just about the same in his real life. It wouldn't be possible to keep up an act for 8 weeks unless it was very like his own character anyway. Maybe he's being an exaggerated version of himself, but if so, I think he just wants to entertain and make people laugh. It's worked with me then because I find him entertaining and hilarious.
He's a drama queen and harmless and I don't get the hate for him.

To be fair, fake is a word used in BB only to describe someone you don't like.

Why just because someone has an over the top personality - really likes to express themselves and is loud suddenly fake?

fake is having an opinion to one set of people an another to another set
fake is being two faced

Its clear Marks family - extended dont know he is gay - he hasn't come out yet.
Thats all he meant. He is a harmless childlike character in the house. He is not malicious.

I personally think Mark is Genuine.
Its so ironic.

NONE of the house mates have had a bad word to say about him.

There is faking your personality and faking reactions to situations.
Mark is not faking his personality but he is faking reactions to situations.
Danielle was a 100% fake. Jale and Christopher were/are fake too. They are not being the person they are outside of the house.
Winston is also being fake, but he is obvious about it and it is intentional. He is a spoof.

But I dont think he is faking reactions. He is an entertaining person. He is loud - when he called C a LIAR is was hillarious. He has lightened the house up when it really needed it.

You prefer them to be boring like Ash/Winson?
Or reigning it in, due to being warned, like Helen?

I see no fakeness. I think he is the type of person who behaves like this around his friends.

You don't think he is fake and you think Ashleigh is a doll and little miss perfect.....OMG there is still hope for me now, lol. He is as fake as a 9 bob note, you only need to look at previous things he has done, he is completely different and to say his family might not think he is gay or maybe not recognise him, is like saying he wasn't sure that Bin Laden was a terrorist.

I feel no dislike for Mark but rather an irritation based on over kill. During the first few weeks his OTT reactions did entertain but have now become predictable.

During the very few occasions he drops the act and is being himself he could gain ground but I suspect the public are then asking is this also fake behaviour so he has put himself in a lose lose situation.

Basically a decent guy who has over played his game.

After being put up for eviction, Mark Byron got every drunk last night and revealed some shocking truths.

Yesterday the housemates nominated face to face and it was revealed in last night’s Big Brother 2014 nominations results that Mark, Christopher Hall, Pav Paul and Winston Showan all face the axe.

After drinking away is his sorrows, Mark ended up gathering the house for a slurred speech as he revealed the true him.

Following a week of being branded false and a gameplayer, Mark said: “I am extremely false, I’m the biggest game player. The public have got one thing right about me, I am actually false.”

The housemates laughed on as Mark announced to the word: “I’m not actually from Liverpool, I’m from Birmingham, I’m not 24, I’m 43.

“My name isn’t Mark I’m actually called over and I was born a woman and I’m a secret agent.

“Everything about me is so ******ing fake, the public have got it spot on.”

Mark also took a swipe at the other housemates – well, two of them – for nominating him for eviction as the final neared.

“This is the first time I’ve ever gone up for eviction on a majority vote,” Mark complained. “It’s taken me nine weeks.

“If it weren’t for you I’d have been the only housemate ever to not go up for the public vote.”

Mark is sloshed in that video. Interesting that his voice is several degrees more acceptable when he is in that state, than his camera/diva voice

Yes it is. He was having a long conversation with Christopher about half of his family not knowing too much about his life, about being gay, so he's worried they're not going to have liked seeing him on Big Brother.

You've twisted that to, his family won't recognise him because he's being fake. Out of context.

When you take the quote as written in the OP outside of the actual conversation he had.
