View Full Version : Could C4 and C5 share Big Brother?
Would it be possible for Channel 4 and 5 to share the rights to Big Brother? It seems to me that Channel 5 make the best Celebrity Big Brothers we've ever had in the history of them but are hopeless at civilian Big Brother, and visa versa for Channel 4. Could both channels ever share the franchise with Channel 4 airing civilian and Channel 5 airing celebrity, or no?

Could BBC and ITV share Eastenders? No lol :p
I was thinking that, but C5 made BB13 so they aren't that bad it's just the series twist that ruins it

^ BB13 is more of a fluke than anything considering that the other C5 series are 12 and 15 (the worst two ever) and 14 (which is the epitome of mediocrity)

But Celebrity and civilian are technically two different shows. E4 and Channel 4 share Hollyoaks, although that's not really the same thing, C4 and 5 could share Big Brother.

They definitely got lucky with the casting

BB14 & 15 where both ruined with series twist that allowed the producers to mess with the result like
Sallie & Gina (avoiding dexter because I don't care about him), where put up because the public nominated them and they could do any think they wanted with the lies and secrets
In this series Toya was evicted because the power housemates could be up, Matthew was evicted because of girl power and Danielle was evicted because Kimberly was ill and the newbies having power helped with Danielle going
If it wasn't Power trip they would of all at least made it to week 5

I completely agree, producers meddling and series twists can work both ways though I guess. On the plus side Helen has been safe from eviction from Day 2 up until the final, meaning we've had our fair share of fights/arguments, but on the downs side we lost great housemates like Toya, Matthew and Danielle.

Nah they would never agree to share the rights to Big Brother. They compete for viewers so they wouldn't work together.

It's not the network, it's the producers.

Obviously production sucks (we haven't had a normal classic head to head eviction for the first time... ever?) but both 14 and 15 have pretty weak casts of gross unlikable people. And you can't really use Gina as an example of someone who was ruined by twists because she made the final. And Sallie only works as an early boot, she delivered all she could have. In the same respect, Toya lasting any longer would've just resulted in more annoying hectoring and nagging (the fact that people are still trying to pass her off as a top 10 HM of all time is absurd) and Matthew would've just been pretentious and faux-intelligent while coming up with the wittiest of insults including telling someone to get a boob job. So yeah, no loss either.

this one is bb15 even though its 2014 - so bb13 - is the one where Luke A won? that was not great at all!!!
The last decent one was when Aron won - bb12? 2011
(appart from bb10 - with the tree of temptation! the last one c4 did)

Not only are your series numberings off, but your opinions are so... unique (for the sake of not getting an infraction or something)
