Remember when big brother was a social experiment? Remember when Channel 4 would actually play pre recorded crowd sounds on eviction night so HMs had no clue what was happening in the outside world? Remember when big brother was decent TV?
Channel 5 have allowed way too much knowledge of the outside world to filter in and they have caused the fakeness. That knowledge has them all playing characters. It's so annoying. Channel 5 have a great host in Emma but they are tanking the show. The whole point of BB is that they are cut off from the outside world. They should not be aware of favourites or most hated because they all keep a guard up.it's more like scripted reality TV at this stage or at worst, panto.
I mean what don't they get??? I think we are missing out on good characters because of it.
I think the Winston, Ash bromance would have probably Been quite funny and endearing to watch but instead we have to watch Christopher or Helen or Mark react to public perception. Any of the good or fun has been killed this year and I think it's all because there is too much public influence.

No I disagree, back on CH4 we did hear the crowd react but it was blocked from HMs so none of them knew anything beyond who was evicted and that's how it should be.
The less knowledge they have, the less they can manipulate their personalities to suit what they believe is wanted and so we would see more natural people.
For example, Christopher. What he is doing is so obvious it's dumb.

They've had secrets and Lies and now the Power Trip, fingers crossed next year will be Back to Basics.
I'd like to see Eviction announcements been done from the studio so they have no idea who is and isn't popular. Absolutely no contact with friends or family, no outside information, warnings being proper warnings and bring back the chickens!!

TL:DR but @ the title - Yes waaay too much!
Edit - That should've said TLDR but a stupid smiley face appeared.lol
The problem is that it is no longer a social experiment. The emphasis is on confrontation and controversy as these things create the best voter income. Don't see that changing any time soon.

Agree totally Niamh. CH5 seem to think the audience wants forced drama. We don't we want to see how people act when they are removed from outside influence. Give them back the guitars too
I don't really care if there is, because at the end of the day it's just a tv show,,, and it's providing entertainment :clap1:
