I did mine in a library... (THE boringest thing ever!) The school sorted it out for me cos I was late with my application for the local radio stattion. I also had the chance to do two weeks for the local paper, but it intruded into my AS levels. :bawling:

I did a whole working week, Monday-Friday 9-5pm which wasn't too bad but got a bit boring at times. I did it at a local solicitors' firm.
Not so much work experience, but I'm doing one or two random careers courses over the next few months I think. Might find some more work experience as well if I need it, or can be bothered.

I did my work experience at Ethel Austin(unisex clothes shop).I had to work 9-5.30pm for the week and it was fairly dull other than when my friends would come into the shop and mess about until they were thrown out like 3 girls from my year who came in asking to try on wonderbra's and if I could help them .Lunchtimes were good because loads of my mates were working in the town centre too and we'd all meet up or go and see the one's who were not on a lunch break. The old hippy's in the town centre got mocked and all

I had work experience with me mate in HMV earlier this year. What a fun disaster it was , because it mainly consisted of me sitting their doing nothing and having arguments with the stockroom guy about the wrestling DVD's.

Then when it came time to phone customers , I used the wrong phone and made in house calls instead to Gary , the manager.

Of course I did not realise it was the manager so I went about explaining to him that we now had his Mortal Kombat : Deception in stock.

No pay either , the bastards. At least I could get free water from the 'recreaitonal' room. Fun times.

It was a long time ago, but I remember my work experience in an office job when I was at school, I got a good report at the end of it which my parents and form tutor were pleased about.

I've also done some volunteer work since then and would like a good job at some stage.
