vte has taken a battering, but with this "shock" double eviction, does it now have edge on vote to save".

The idea of having vote to save on an eviction show has always baffled me.
I've always preferred VTE. The one year VTS was used on civilian BB, it proved to be a flop IIRC.

I think it's lead to tactical voting becoming a lot more prominent, previously VTE has been dominated by impulse media not thinking about the repercussions of their actions. Now however the audience has begun to get savvy and utilise the system cynically for their own gain. Think about the evictions this year:
Tamara- to spite Helen
Matthew- to spite Ashleigh
Jale- to save Ashleigh
Saving Pav- To get Bianca out and help Ashleigh stay
Zoe- To save Chris
Winston- To eliminate the threat of him winning.
I think the fanbase on social media has also changed, more forumers are using social media more actively and the lower viewing figures have pushed the power away from casual fans and more towards the diehard supporters.

I don't think so, but I was an Aaron fan so...

Totally agree.
I can't believe how Emma, Rylan etc were all so baffled as to why Winston left and kept asking why and how?
Not one of them seemed to realise the impact social media campaigns have on BB voting now.

I didn't understand that at all, how could emma, rylan, and the bots audience be so out of touch. can't help but feel it was scripted shock

I agree. "Campaigns" on the web used to be largely a waste of time but nowadays can have a very big impact.

I agree, it's become much more strategic due to campaigns than simply voting in/out who you do/don't like.

Excuse my ignorance, what is VTS please and the other Vs mentioned. I am a poor old soul who doesnt always understand all the abbreviations. I love the way that favourite HMs fans unite together for a soul/sole purpose.
VTS = Vote to save
VTE = Vote to evict

I had to laugh and wanted to shout out "hey dont you read the forums and peoples opinions". I didnt see anyone fighting Winston's corner and on another note I havent seen anyone put in a good word for the Goodes so why are they on our screens?

Oh what a plonker, thankyou. We make life so difficult for ourselves I was looking for something much more extravagant. A lot of it does makes sense but every so often my brain goes to sleep :sleep::sleep::laugh:

:conf:
Tamara- to spite Helen
I'm pretty sure the Tamara-voting was because she was so dull compared to Jale and Danielle.

I'm a massive fan of vote to evict. Last night's eviction was brilliant, particularly to see the smile melt from Helen's face. I hate it when thugs and b1tches are allowed free reign in the house because some people mistake their stupidity and attention-seeking as "entertainment", and we can't vote to evict them.

VTS generates much less income, so VTE is here to stay. I think it is a much more interesting dynamic when its VTE because a hm has to keep all the voters happy if they want to survive, not just be popular with 1 particular group

You mean the two years? BB12 and BB13? Certainly worked in BB12 as Aaron won :D

Despite Aaron winning, the series was still absolutely ghastly. It was, without question, the worst ever.

I disagree with you I think BB12 was a better series than this one, only because there were more likeable HM's in that series than this one ....IMHO
