View Full Version : Why does Ash think he is so entertaining?

Headie

All throughout the series he's acted as though he's kept the show going... comments like 'get the boring ones out' and 'I would be a deserving winner' etc.

Someone please tell me why he thinks he's so spectacular?

Probably because he finds the other housemates secluding themselves from the group to be boring.

Everyone has different ideas of what is classed as boring anyway.

Every time he says something like that I'm just shaking my head. I think it's because he feels like he's a fun guy IRL, that what he does in the house is entertaining to him and his mates in there and therefore everyone watching finds that entertaining as well. He might be the kind of guy you'd want to have a drink with (not me, but you know, people) but not the kind of guy you want to watch on TV for 3 months.

tbf on Ash he had a pretty good HL show except for this convo. It showed him up for being self-unaware as he cannot see others' viewpoints of himself how he can be 'considered' boring. Not like its been highlighted as public opinion during the series via tasks! He also came across pretty conceited and the grins he gave himself was pretty self-indulgent.

huh

Chris/Ashleigh/Christopher are a little group and they seperate themselves from Helen and Ash which are now only a pair not a group

The logic of Ash

"Why is she sat in the bath? She should be sat on a chair like me. She's so borin"
"Why is she lay on her bed chatting with creepy Chris? She should be sat on a chair like me. She's so borin"
"Why is she washing up in the kitchen? She should be sat on a chair like me. She's so borin'"
"Why is she up in that diary room again? She should be sat on a chair like me. She's so borin'"
"Eh Helen, shall we do somethin?"
"What laaaaak?"
"How about we go out the fire exit?"
"We did that the other naaaaaat"
"That's true. I know, let's sit down on these chairs instead and talk about Ashleigh"
"Yeah"

He's too dumb to realize that he's one of the least entertaining people in the history of BB.
He probably would have gotten on really well with snooze-fest Sam from last year!

Because he's a self absorbed, bland, pretty boy that thinks running around in the camera run is the most original, cool, funny and clever thing anyone has ever done...where in reality it was just a silly and attention seeking boring thing he did.

The guy is a total bore...at least Pav can hold an interesting conversation, Ash can't even manage that.

..but being fair here, isn't that what we all would think..?...if there were people we didn't like or hadn't connected to we would feel...oh, what have they done..or ..what have they done that's been positive or entertaining in any way...because we would only see negatives or see nothing at all from their personalities and that's just what happens so I genuinely think he believes he's been a bigger housemate...

All three new housemates went in there with the opinion shared by the majority of people here, that Helen and her gang were awful and the others were the good guys. They all vowed to get rid of Helen's group. However once inside, their opinions all change and their allegiances switched.

I'm not sure it's that what is being shown is that much different, I just think that the choice is to sit with Helen's group and have a laugh. Or sit with Ashleigh's group and have a moan.

So to answer the question, Ash thinks he's fun in there, cause compared to the others, he is. He probably doesn't call sitting around moaning and bitching the way Ashliegh, Chris & Christopher does, as entertainment. But having said that, sometimes all we see is him sitting around, moaning and bitching with his group, so I guess his stance does seem a bit hypocritical at times.

Anyway I think Helen's group do try to have more fun in there in the hope of entertaining themselves and us. While the others are content to be rude about the others and their actions in the hope the viewers will side with their spite and commentary.

He has consistently shown he hasn't a clue as to how the public feel about him or anything else. He gets evictions wrong, gets what the public wants wrong, he gets the dislike for Helen, wrong.

He is just a wrong un with little awareness, especially how he is coming across. He thinks his ordinary looks will get him through and his oh so funny japes are nothing more than previous exploits rehashed and second rate.

He is totally unaware of how lazy he is, how unkempt he is and how wrong he is.

Break it down though...

In the smoking corner, we have Helen, Ash, Winston and the others when they were there.

In the Pod, the bedroom, the Kitchen, on the stairs, beside the photographs, in the bathroom, in the smoking corner, we have Ashleigh, Chris, Christopher, Mark...

Nearly every time that Ashleigh and Co are on the screen they are in a different place, and that includes the smoking area. Yet 90% of the time that Helen and Ash are on screen they are sitting in the same spot. In the same position. In the same chair. They've even stopped sunning themselves, a whole 4 steps from the couch.

If one group is constantly changing position, moving around, while the other has sat in the same spot for 8 weeks, who exactly is secluding themselves?

That would appear true, although I think its a bit more complex than that, as its been said by Ash and co that Ashleigh and Chris move off to a different location whenever others try to join them. Wish BB had shown this to verify if it happened or not as for now, I haven't spotted it happening. But, yes, in a house as small as that, I would have thought most would be climbing the wall to change locations as much as possible. The implication is that its a constant smoke fest which quite rightly wont be the preferred venue of non smokers at all.

Or you could break it down the other way and say 90% of the time Ashleigh and Danielle were on screen they were in the pod alone or Chris was either in the smoking area or in the bedroom?

The location of them matters not one bit, if you are secluding yourself from another group of housemates (which Ashleigh even admits to during the court task and gives her reasons for it btw) then you are isolating yourself.

Location doesn't come in to it.

I am liking the fact that BB has put Ash and Christopher together as a power duo. It might actually do Ash good to work alongside a nice person.
