Hi Guys and Gals:wavey:

Now we are in the last week i was thinking about friendships in the house and how strong and genuine they are.

I think Helen, Ash, Winston, Tamara, Steven and Mark will all be friends for life.

I've left out Kim as i do think she's on another planet and her relationship with Steve will last as long as a chocolate fireguard on a winters day, she will go back to America and do her thing.

However i'm not so sure about Ashleigh and Chris's friendship......i genuinely think that as soon as they get out, she will go to her boyfriend back home and maybe get some modelling contracts, so just for this reason they will be in completely different circles. I definitely think Ashleigh has no intentions of keeping Chris as a friend and i feel like she's pacifying him.

I do like Chris but his putting Ashleigh on a pedestal is really doing my head in and i'm starting to think he is a little delusional:shocked:

I think Helen's group have formed stronger bonds and the only one's i think Ashleigh would stay in touch with long term would be Toya and maybe Danielle.

What do you think?

It's a shame really he got so close as it's definitely ruined his chances of winning,he was a fave of mine until he became a limpet.Feel sorry for him really as I do think it's unrequited

Who cares what happens outside the house once it's all done.

95% of these friendships disappear on the outside, thats why I laugh when all the housemates are talking about doing all these things together outside the house and how they're bestmates.

He was a fave of mine too.

I hate the way he compliments her all the time, saying how wonderful she is, she's amazing blah blah blah.

Please just stop now Chris.

As much as I love Chris and like Ashleigh, I can't see them being friends outside the house. I believe their friendship in the house is completely genuine, but their lives outside are too different and I don't think they'd have much in common. They might stay in contact, but I can't see them going out and doing friend stuff.

None of the other friendships really feel that genuine to me and they all feel like they're using each other, so I'm not sure what will happen there.

I can see endless photos in the papers/magazines of them all drunk/getting into trouble, falling outs, magazine deals.

I don't know, I could actually maybe see Ashleigh staying in contact with Christopher over Chris tbh

I can't see Chris and Ashleigh remaining friends I'm afraid - I must say I have to put my hands over my face when he keeps telling her how wonderful she is - just stop it now Chris please it's getting cringy. Though he is still my winner.

Not so sure about Ashleigh and Chris. Maybe they'll keep in contact but I don't see them having the firendship they have in the house.
After Mark humiliated Christopher he said he'd be friends with him.
Chris said he'd go out with Pav outside the house, but I doubt that'd happen.
Ashleigh and Christopher... maybe.
Helen and Ash will be 'friends with benefits' as Ash said

I was thinking to myself, her b/f probably wouldn't be comfortable with that friendship outside the house

Helens gang (even including Kim whether she is with Steven or not as Kim and Helen were good friends) will stay friends outside the house.
When Chris gets out and sees how he has come across in his so called friendship with Ashleigh he will surely feel embarrassed but aside from that fact Ashleigh will certainly not stay friends with him. It was ok in the house when she really lost any friends she had but once she is outa there she is back to Northern Ireland and her wimpy boyfrlend whether she wins (which I hope she doesn't) or loses.

I feel most sorry for Christopher as Mark has no intention of having him as a friend and I am not sure he will hold any other friendship from the time he was in the house. If he wins and I hope he does he can afford to dump the lot of them and get on with his life

they'll be a winston/tamara, ash/helen fauxmance maybe.
bit I think ash and winston are the ones out of them all that have the most genuine friendship.

Its apples and pears.

Ash and Winston are the same age, they are interested in the same things, drinking and going out. They are "lads".

Ashleigh and Chris are at very different points in their lives and they are in different Countries. Intellectually they might remain friends, but can anyone realistically see Chris arriving to stay at Ashleighs mothers house and hanging out with her 18-19 year old friends?

Over time most people drift apart, friendships are hard, unless they are easily maintained by proximity, shared life experiences and constant contact.

I know what you mean - he is comforting her though, being a good bloke. she was clearly REALLY homesick yesterday and REALLY wants to be out of the house - and he was just trying to cheer her up as mates do. He has the wisdom of experience that you get when you are older - to just relax and let it go by. Its impressive that Ashleigh is handling it at all.

he had to give her esteem at that moment, she was on the verge of tears. Thats what friends do.

Its the age difference that will make it difficult for them to be friends outside - there is a vast change between 18 - 33.
In the house it works but on the outside it wont. It doesnt mean Chris is less of a cool kid - just the age difference. If Ashleigh was older - they would definitely stay friends outside of the house.

They wont have anything in common on the outside. Unless she considers Chris like an older brother type figure.

I agree, their friendship in the house is necessary and I believe quite genuine, however they have little in common in the real world and add to that the quite large age difference and the fact they live in different countries.

I would not expect them to continue their friendship albeit meeting up very occasionally.

It's possible also that one of them or both may not be genuine and are merely acting as part of his/her gameplan so once out of house it's see ya around for BB reunions but not much else.

Personal insults seem to be the only way Ashleigh get's argued against on the interwebz, impressive though that it's starting to seep into other people in her life now aswell. Her mother got a ton of abuse on here simply for the way she looked.

I mistyped in my post Craigy I meant pretty boyfriend I would not insult a family member of a housemate and to the best of my recollection I haven't in any posts I have commented on
