I think everyone that eats meat is aware that it was once part of an animal and was at one time raw...
Taking a pic with all the added fat, salt, fillers, colourings and preservatives that go into your Mac meal surrounding it might be more powerful?

I'm fine with that tbh, all natural ingredients. I shop a lot at a specialist Chinese supermarket (I am not Chinese but I love to cook it) - you can buy bags of frozen chicken feet there.

I think any horror is more to do with cuts of meat being used that aren't the ones you are used to finding in Tesco, Morrison's etc but it's good, and nutritious. Cuts such as cheek are getting popular here in the UK now, and they are delicious and cheap. I also use Ox tail a lot. People just don't like to be reminded their meat comes from an animal; scarily, a lot of children don't actually realise that what you get in supermarkets comes from an animal because it bears no resemblance; they SHOULD know.

I agree with Kizzy; for me the real horror lies in all the artificial sh#t that is pumped into things like nuggets and reformed ham.

I've never actually gagged just from seeing something disgusting before, but I did today. It's gonna take me a long time to unsee this. :(
