'Magician Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee have confirmed themselves as Celebrity Big Brother 2014 housemates.


The new series of CBB begins on Monday, just days after the current run of BBUK ends on Friday night.

Speaking today, the pair teased that they wouldn’t let cameras get in the way of their usual life as husband and wife.

“I couldn’t possibly reveal what we’ve got planned for the Big Brother bedroom — that would spoil the surprise,” Debbie said, “All I will say is that we’re still very much in love.”

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Paul added: “I might start a sexy exercise regime in there and get my mistress Debbie to get me in shape. I have to keep busy.”

He laughed: “We still make each other laugh after 26 years of marriage — although I wish she wouldn’t do that when I’m getting undressed.”



But he also revealed that the pair enjoy separate bathrooms at home, something which they’ll have to make do without in the CBB house.

“I think the secret to keeping the romance is having separate bathrooms. That way you don’t see the messy bits,” he explained.

Other names rumoured for the new series include the likes of Gladiator star Tornado – real name David McIntosh – and MisFits’ Lauren Socha.

There’s also set to be yet another TOWIE star with Lauren Goodger entering, while Benefits star White Dee, Made In Chelsea cast member Stephanie Pratt and Corrie actor Michael Le Vell have also been tipped to take part.

CBB begins on Monday on Channel 5.
