I know it was great how they both hugged and cried, loved Helen for being the bigger person and apologising .

I was surprised at how genuine it seemed on both ends as well. They would make a great final two tbh.

Canny move on Helens part, outside info maybe?

It all seemed genuine on both sides if you ask me helen knows she will be booed so i dont see her purposly trying to change that with 2 day to go

Oh from ex housemates?

Yes it seemed so out of the blue, Steven and Mark are both desperate for a Helen win

I was thinking the same thing. Probably the awful Steven having a word in her ear 'You'll look good if...'

The outside influences have spoiled the show this year - we didn't get a true series at all.

It did, it was an episode with credit to them both for me and sad to think how it may have been for a fair part of the series. As you say it seemed really genuine.

I also don't think anyone said anything to her or to Ashleigh at all either.
It seemed to come as a relief to both to come together properly for once and I give both equal credit for that too.

Not sure it was out of the blue, you could see Helen thinking on it in the bedsit, and then not kicking off when she returned. Then in the morning, the first steps to reconciliation were made, prior to the party.

I've just watched the episode, all I can say is wow!
It actually made me cry.

Such a lovely episode and I feel I've softened towards everyone. Only earlier today I had a mega rant concerning the Ashleigh/Helen thing because I was so pissed of with Helen getting all the blame in the trial thing.
I still think that Helen wasn't solely to blame for everything but tonight I was so glad hearing Ashleigh basically admit they had both been as bad as each other regarding saying snide comments/bitching.

And when she held her hands up to her face near tears just after their hug/just before Helen said "will I spin you around?" I blubbed.

Both seemed really genuine to me and I have to say I have been considering the fact that maybe I've been just a tad too harsh in my opinion of Ashleigh? I still stand by all the things I observed her doing and the way I felt about them, but she's probably not as bad as I originally thought. She has definitely done bad things that made me find her sneaky and manipulative and downright nasty/bitchy at times imo, but tonight I think I must have caught a glimpse of that nice side that her friends love so much.

Even Ash had me in tears too with him getting emotional in the diary room! I just thought what a sweet guy that loves his friends so much.

The beam on Christopher's face when he saw Mark and the constant talking about him afterwards was so cute.

The genuine excitement radiating from Chris and Pav about the final - lovely to see.

All in all an amazing episode. It's mad how one episode can make me question so many of my opinions on people.
I hope it is not all ruined tomorrow by more bitching and arguing.

I'm actually really looking to watching the final tomorrow now and I really didn't think I would be.

Good luck everybody! I'm excited now! :spin2:

It is even more emotional for people who understand the deeper significance of it. It wasn't just a case of 2 people who didn't get on having a kiss and make up.
