At the final dinner speech, what is the point of a "civilian" BB? :bored:

Did you think Zoe or Helen auditioned? They were already "minor" celebs :hehe:

I think he must've meant as in when he was selected as a housemate because his friends have said that he auditioned as normal.

Have you watched the clip Mr Flibble? it doesn't come across that way at all.

No I don't but I hoped there were a few HMs who got through the audition process but it seems not

Yeah, I have and I thought it was weird as well. But I don't see why his friends would lie to me about it, so who knows

My understanding is that thousands apply for the chance and if this is correct its surely mugging off all of those good "Tesco workers" who will be fans of the show.

Fill the next house with people who cannot be goggled. The journeys will be genuine and the show just as interesting.

Why can't the producers realise the series that have when down as iconic series had no outside manipulation and housemates that auditioned through the normal process

I think normal auditions do happen, but that a seeding system operates, where "preferred candidates" jump in at a later stage in the process and hence have a better chance of making it in to the house. No idea if Chris was a preferred candidate or not, but its pretty obvious from the ex housemates subsequent TV exposure, who were the preferred candidates in that group.

I think what he meant was when they told him he got in. They won't just chuck anyone in knowing nothing about them. I think everyone auditions but some get fast tracked.

Ah Cherie I have just watched the clip, I presume we are talking about the speeches. Chris' was brilliant and described himself down to the T. Logically I would think that he had to audition because how would he have been known? Does he have an Agency I wonder who put his name forward and then he went for an audition? I cannot really see BB being so stupid as putting just anyone in there, they naturally want to mix the "breed" so to speak. They want aggrevation and different personalities.

Asked: Auditioned: In: I would think this is the case for Chris but the soldiers could be different?

That is true how would he be known, unless of course he has the same agent as all the others

I dont think he has you know but of course he has to have an Agent for his acting skills as he has had parts in films. His FB page is brilliant and his Biro sketches are fantastic. If he has the same Agency as the others then he has been let down good and proper tbh, this would surely split the Agency. For me I wont be watching anything by them.

I am hoping that Chris is with another. Of course though it is all about money so if the Agency brings in the cash then it will take on any trash. There is so much going on in the world that we dont know about....I guess I am just getting old as I cannot understand the adoration of a lot of it. Mind you I am all for a bit of fun. Hopefully he is with another.

Didnt someone say that they all had to have Agencies before they were signed up for BB. Also wasnt sour grapes Goode and Kimberley signed up afterwards. Not sure mind you.

this isn't really anything new, it happens every year and probably a lot more than we think. I don't agree with it though.

I know it isn't new! It's just so blatant this year! Jay and Louise were probably the first two that came to my attention anyway as being "head hunted" for the show. I'm asking what is the point of pretending it is a "civilian" show anymore when they all have agents!

The title of the show is the only thing that draws comparison with the old traditional channel 4 show and the original Netherlands idea. The only way I could watch this year is by looking at it as an entirely different show. A show about TV production personnel and thier friends.

DEFINITELY!

I would like a few of the funny people that turn up at X factor and are a bit of a joke as well. BB used to make me laugh every episode! That is what I miss and I miss rooting for someone to win because they really deserved it.
