Why would they even decline to comment? Especially after advertising auditions for next year?
Are the auditions just there as they usually would be to mask a possible cancellation?
If the auditions weren't there as usual there would be numerous reports about its cancellation so doing this avoids that.
Like are they using that to make it look like everything is going swimmingly and just crossing their fingers it gets renewed? Or even to shut fans up lol.

I think bbuk fans like myself want to know what's happening Viacom won't be pleased if its gone ahead without them knowing

I just want it to stay on C5 like it is. They have nothing to replace it with and people without sky/subscriptions could not watch it on another channel and then it would disappear completely.
They just need to not make the mistakes they made this year (nasty egomaniac housemates) and get some funny/decent house mates and better tasks. possibly a shorter duration with a possible extension if its popular.

they wouldnt cancel it without a "final big brother" anyway - that would be sure to get more viewers - as with what happened with the great big brother of 2010, which was genuinely funny almost everyday.

I hope they don't turn C5 all american and we retain some of the UK's identity in this show - which originated in England and is now all over the world.
Its annoying that liking big brother is considered "poor taste" by nearly everyone! If they gave it a try they would like it.

Viacom is not involved with BB US, so they probably won't turn BB UK into BB US. I hope so, anyway. Actually, I believe that BB originated from Holland, and BB producers have to have a contract with Endemol.

The format came from Netherlands, BBUSA just changed their format to the one it is today as the first season got poor ratings.

I agree.
I'm confident it its renewal, I just really think they need to take the show back to its roots.

I really hopes so, I would love it to go back to its original format.

After the reception they got for Power Trip I don't think they'd do come out with any other theme.

A bit of a crap example... but The Valleys (owned by Viacom) advertised auditions for a fourth series, two months later MTV announced the show had been axed and a fourth series will never happen.
Not saying the same will happen here, but auditions being advertised does not mean the shown will be back.
I'm guessing bosses are confident it will return, although Viacom are still in negotiations or have made no decision on a renewal.
