Done.
Incredibly sad that the U.S. have to send up a Space Shuttle that is 22 years old and showing signs of wear and tear!

Done.
They have been so careful since the last crash, I would have thought they would have at least checked for damage on that left wing before returning to earth.

I've signed too. What a tragedy especially for their families waiting to welcome them back to earth and then ......
I remember the shock we all felt in 1986 when the other craft exploded. It was on my son's 7th birthday and even now he can tell you what he was doing and how he felt.
However considering how old these craft actually are it is amazing that there hasnt been a disaster before.

Before the Apollo 15 astronauts left the Moon in 1971, they left this tribute to the 14 astronauts and cosmonauts that had lost their lives before then.
It's a plaque with their names, beside a figurine of a fallen astronaut/cosmonaut.
