View Full Version : The launch is too long for 12ish celebrities

It's on for 2 hrs 15 mins! The rumoured list has 11 but that is less than they have normally. I reckon it will be the most tying with CBB5 at 14.

On Channel 5..

CBB8- 10
CBB9- 12
CBB10- 13
CBB11- 11
CBB12- 13
CBB13- 12

But all of those launches were on for less than tomorrow's launch. Surely for a show at 2 hrs 15 mins, we are looking at around 14.

How many do people think? The launch runs from 9:05pm-11:20pm.

Also its reported to be a 30 day series, the same as CBB5 which was also 30 days... and as I said, had the most HMs, and just behind CBB7's 32 days.

There won't be a house tour since Emma never does one for the Summer CBB so that could cut the time

I've just seen how long it's on for, that seems extremely long.

There must be at least 13 HM's going in to justify the length of time it's on for.

Is it two plus hours and then one hour live feed or is that included in the two hours?

There will probably be a twist once they all get inside the house, possibly nominations? or if they do the Power thing again we could be voting live to pick a power housemate?

So that's two hours and 15 minutes for a launch show, 60 minutes of BOTS and 55 minutes of LF..

Obviously its a twist.

The random 15 minutes is perfect time for a live twist to be carried out and show the houses reaction.

Im all twisted out :(

I think it's 26 days long. The final should be on Friday 12th September, which makes it 26 days long.

This, I think there will be two-part evictions which will mean 30 episodes (possibly later in the series)

Dan, for the first time for BB since it move to Ch5, we haven't heard of any twist rumours... so maybe they are not doing one  but even if it did, the twist would be in the last segment of the show (around 15 mins?), so its still 2 hours of people entering.

And Sam, I've seen it all over twitter that it's 30 days and I'm pretty sure Ch5 confirmed it... ?? Wiki has it down as 30 days too, and they have got the predictions correct in the past before the schedules were confirmed properly.

Most likely, Wentworth is due to start soon and last year that was sandwiched between BB and BOTS, and then the finale. So they could do that again for the final week.

C5 haven't confirmed the days, just the episodes which is 30.

There was 72 episodes of BB wasn't there and it was a 72 day series?

No, there were 73 episodes. It's like CBB12 was 23 days but had 26 episodes.

Anything over 2 hours is a ridiculous show length, more of their obsession with CBB

I'm guessing it'll be for a twist. I assume since it's ending post 11 we'll be on about half an hour delay? That's just great...

Also I thought the longest series was only 27 days? CBB13 tied with CBB7 did it not? I'm all for a longer celebrity series but I'm not sure whether I want that at the end of the summer. I'd much rather they extended the January series to 4 weeks which is what it used to be or even pushing 5 if they could get them to agree to that and then ditch the summer series and give us our 13 week civilian back, but I guess that's too much to ask for.

How do you know?

If so, lets hope the other 3 are Gary and two other decent signings.

I asked Ed Gleave (who interviewed the housemates today) how many housemates would be entering and he said 14:

Channel 5 want the show on for so long because it is Celebrity Big Brother that brings in the ratings, and they can show more adverts.

Don't forget Emma usually ends the live-shows about 10 minutes early

The Winston and Mark double eviction ended 10 minutes before it was meant to, it could be the same for tonight.
