I think he has a hearing problem and has trouble understanding peoples accents.Last night on LF he was sat on the sofas having a normal convo with Spencers sister,He knew exactly what she was saying.

british accents can be hard to understand for people not used to them. my ex-boyfriend was a huge doctor who fan, but he had to watch it with the subtitles on lol. i was like really you can't understand it without the subtitles and he looked at me like i was crazy for being to understand the accents perfectly. I told him i've been watching british Tv for many years, so i have no trouble understanding british accents.

Yeah Gary isn't 'unwell' like some were saying (that's really rude btw) he is hard of hearing and I think he actually wears a hearing aid at times?

Jeezo, I could barely understand Lauren last night and I'm from the UK.....

It was odd yeah but it's because the producers know he's a bit 'bizarre' at times they have drilled it into him that Emma would ask 3 questions then he would enter the house, the way Emma carries out the short interview just seems like her chatting away to them hence the confusion.

I hope Gary wont get the same abuse Sam got for being deaf.I somehow don't think so though

We need more "awkward" type entrances to break up the set routine. It made me admire Emma all the more for how adaptable and professional she is - and made me laugh.

I think tv audiences do seem to find deafness hard to deal with over some other disabilities - I guess it is the communication factor but I think it's a good thing that people at least get the chance to acknowledge that deafness exists and people can still communicate with the deaf and vice versa.
