If Gary was shushing the housemates in the bedroom on the very first night its gona be a very rocky ride for him haha. Obviously he hasn't seen Big Brother before but with the fee he is being paid to go on it he will probably have to put up or shut up lol :hehe:

I don't think he has to put up with incessant laughing and screaming at bedtime. :nono:

They'll have to shut up, go to sleep or go and have a laugh in the living room. Common courtesy.

I'd shush them as well :idc: stupid children

It's not healthy to wake people up. You never catch up with the loss of sleep.

This is a bit like Bruce in the last CBB.

:joker: I'm picturing him chasing Lauren out of the bedroom.

Its all part of the course for night time shenanigans though the housemates as a whole are considerably older than the civilian one this year so poor Gary may get a few nights sleep. If people want to have fun though that's part of the course. I respect Gary as an actor but I still wonder if Celebrity Big Brother is the show for him

Every year they put in a grump to shush them when they know they are going to be sharing a house with younger people. You never see this happen in civilian BB so it must be their inflated egos

Marsh.

I don't think ego comes into it. People want sleep. Carol was the same in BB8 IIRC.

Nobody's saying they can't have fun but they have the rest of the house to have fun rather than wake up the people trying to sleep.

It's all about consideration and compromise.

To be fair, he's what, like 70? And it was quarter to four in the morning and he'd only been asleep about 45 mins.

I know it was his choice to go in the house but I think it was a bad one I did not know who he was but I feel really uncomfortable that he.s an elderely man who has suffered brain injury and who is partially deaf and he will never fit in with that lot. He has already got several strange looks and been laughed at and disrespected. He looks confused most of the time. I hope his agent thinks his 10 percent was well earned he or she should have known better.

He is basically Bruce Jones 2.0 but a little livelier but get love because he's more famous

tbh Gary actually seems interesting, based on how eccentric and funny (both intentionally and unintentionally) he is. Bruce was always a grumpy old bore who did nothing in the house.

That's not true, people purposely made a noise and kept Ben awake in his BB,some people just have no thought for other people and are down right selfish,a bedroom is for sleeping, plenty of other rooms they can pratt about in.

BB know this will happen with the age mix.The younger wannabees are excited want to party every night and are probably also looking for more air time.?

The more mature and established HMs feel sleep is more important. Jim Davison had this problem and it created some good interactions and I think the same will happen this time.

As someone ele pointed out it was 3.45 am and he had been asleep for 48 minutes (how precise of Marcus)' given that he is stone deaf the noise must have been ear shattering, it's BB, a programme of interaction and coping with living with others, Its rude and disrepectful to be partying in the bedroom when othere were already asleep, just like Bruce and Jim, good on him for shutting them up.

I think it was arrogant ,if he wants to sleep ok,but you cannot tell everyone else to shush ,who does he think he is ?

..I think though as well Pete that maybe some jet-lag..?..I don't know when he flew over but he's a lot older and would take longer to adjust...maybe he's been here a few weeks though, I don't know...

Stone deaf is just a term Kaz I know he can hear  But not as well as others, he might do well to take his aid out at night!

Why do people have to make a noise in the bedroom? They have the whole house to be attention seeking twats in, why not take it outside? Idiots...

Jet-lag has been affecting housemates in the past but I think he's been in the UK for at least 2 days? Idk if that's still an issue

I thought it was funny. It really is inconsiderate to make a hullabaloo when someone is sleeping.
