View Full Version : James - the most desperate to win

talking in the Diary Room about his competition, veiled pretence that his dislike of David and Ricci has nothing to do with their "energy" (in other words that better, younger versions of him). You can see he wants to be the centre of attention and with so many muscle-bound morons in there, it'll be difficult.

Never mind the brainless "hunks", there's a 70-yr old bloke in there who will be far more the centre of attention than James.

I don't think he necessarily wants to win. Winning is immaterial really.

But he does seem to be feeling his age with the youngsters. I think he wanted to be resident bloke and now he's playing Dad opposite Claire's Mum role.

I think he definitely wants to be the main source of eye-candy of the house. I really can't understand why he'd only gripe about David and Ricci

I'm liking his 'gameplay' mode, perhaps bringing some intelligence to the game which we haven't seen since Victor and Jason and they got really far in the game.

It should go back to its gameshow roots and not have people like Lauren, Ricci come in just to earn money

Only one without a appreciation thread, btw. Seems like a bit of a humorless person.

Judging by his past appearances, I hardly think James is clever enough to have formulated a gameplan of any sort...

how exactly does this equate with him wanting to win? :conf: he was just giving his initial opinions of them and I agreed with him.

He is jealous of the two guys. I didn't like him on Strictly come dancing and I am glad he isn't on it anymore. His wife reckons it will lose viewers because he has been axed but the fact that she married him puzzles me. She is gorgeous he is not. I bet my bottom dollar that the first two he will nominate will be those two. There are a few others I dislike more than James but I can see him slipping down my list as the series goes on. He is vain arrogant and temperamental

I thought this as well. In his VT he came across as a bit of a ladies man, and spoke about how he likes to dance just to touch scantily clad women  snooze. He probably thought he'd been chosen to go into the house as the elected male eye candy. And then I got the feeling he just dropped as some younger attractive males entered. His comment in the DR within hours of being there about them having too much energy just seemed a little bitter and unfounded, from the footage they didn't seem like out of control or anything.

He seems alright so far I think. I get Dan vibes from him (Detective Dan) and think he will get stuck right into tasks and stuff.

they are both very good looking in my opinion and make an extremely attractive couple.

I thought this tonight too!

Exactly! The reasons as well for trying to gripe about David being "too energetic" and Ricci was really petty reasons.

It doesn't help either that he knows he's gonna have to hang up his boots at some stage because of his age and that his body isn't what it used to be, whereas David and Ricci are both young men who admittedly do have great bodies.

What, because they're both dancers? that's literally the only thing they have in common.

I thought that too Josy when listening to him in the diary room.

To be fair, that could be said of a majority who enter the BB house, and if he is going to cause friction in the house, which he seems he might, then that alone should be a reason to keep him in a while as it will make the house more interesting to watch. Also in his VT he said he likes to win at stuff stuff didn't he? so at least he is honest about that. What is the point of going in a BB house if you don't at least want a chance at winning and trying to get competition out.

Yeah I totally sensed that, he's my least favorite currently probably as a result

I love him from Strictly, he is always joking, has a great sense of humour, gets on well with all the other male professional dancers, jusy give him a chance.
