10-12 million. It's a hard one as the Sharon hype didn't show in ratings in 2013. Same may happen with Simon/Cheryl, but then the hype could be lived up to and we see a big jump in figures.

I can't see it getting anymore than 10m going to be interesting series ratings wise

There's a lot of hype around Simon/Cheryl and also a lot for Mel B also because she's very tough and in some cases more strict than Simon.

9.5m for the x factor highest its been since 2011 good result peaked with 10.6m
Good rating, so it'll be around that for the live shows. When do ratings usually dip? In bootcamp?

The last few years against strictly and boot camp its real test will be next Sunday up against scd

I don't get why SCD beats XF in the ratings all the time, I've always thought XF is far more loved?
It's like IAC having over 10 million more viewers than BB despite them having similar concepts and BB being called 'tired' when IAC is as tired as all of them and seems to be the only one which never has a re-vamp.

IAC is much more dated than bb reason its survived is due to ant and Dec with scd main reason ppl see it as a more nicer friendlier show going to be much closer between the two this year I reckon

After the whole 'race row' with Big Brother that was pretty much a nail in the coffin. IAC, X Factor, Strictly, BGT... all of them have not had such a big controversy like Big Brother did. It's actually a miracle since then that Big Brother has stayed on TV.
Big Brother is the odd one out too as it's more of a teen/adult show. All these other shows, including IAC, are more family friendly. They are lighter shows and that's what people like.
I think SCD does better as people seem to believe it's a 'natural' show, whereas X Factor has become to be know as the 'manufactured' show. I suppose it's a bit like how people view these shows as 'real' and Big Brother as 'fake'.
True, to both of you tbh!

X factor has always been manipulated in my eyes but think that's why ppl love it

I agree, it has always been manipulated. Seems to show more these days though.
I blame the editing, which has become more focussed on the judges arriving in flashy cars and walking down catwalks, and the stories of the contestants. Rather than the actual singing. People seem to still enjoy it nonetheless.

I'm going to say tonight's episode will get 9.6. The Sunday episodes seemed to rate slightly higher than the Saturday shows last year

Big Brother actually improved in ratings when it clashed with XF and nearly achieved 2 million:joker:
