View Full Version : His overcompensation for being straight.

I know he is a dancer and must have got flack from no age being called "ghey" by ignorant twats. But the way he keeps mentioning his wife and how she cooks and how he is the man is cringy. I was watching it with my mum and she noticed it too, anyone else noticed?

The way he reacted over Gary (who took it a little too far) was hilarious, I know Gary shouldn't have done that but the guy really needs to stop overcompensating for being deemed "straight."
I feel bad for the guy but it's awkward viewing now.

Glad I'm not the only one who got this vibe! I'm literally up to the point Gary enters and I've gotta say that James seems very defensive when meeting potential 'alpha' males like David and Audley too, he should just embrace himself even if it means being camp because camp doesn't always equal gay.

Yeah for someone who was expressing how comfortable he was with his sexuality he did take it a bit hard when Gary made that joke (pardon the pun).

My mate text me "James is a closet case", my thoughts exactly.

There is something odd about him, he was sacked for strictly for challenging behaviour.. could he be doing it to be the new Jason Gardiner?

Okay glad I'm the only one thinking this.

I totally agree. His wife went on all the papers once he was sacked from Strictly saying that they had a big mistake and thousands of people only watch it for James. His sex appeal was supposedly very popular and according to her they are going to lose lots of viewers now that he isn't in it. I think she was actually talking about HERSELF lol as I know a lot of my male friends watch it cos of Ola

Excuse me, we don't accuse people of overcompensating in this country. You've been very naughty! Oi, look at me! Naughty! :nono:

and those shorts

they are very masculine though lol/. just like that dance. dancing like that makes it very masculine, because it's very energetic. girls can't handle that kind of energy so it makes it very masculine lol

But wearing them at Dusk in his local park could be misconstrued?

I think wearing them at any time of day it's hard to confuse it. lol

His poor wife when he's begging her to finger him.

I think I missed something. James said " We don't say those things in this country" what's he talking about? Gary only said " you're gay right?" Did he say something else that I missed?

When he made his entrance on Monday night there was a power outage in Brighton as the culmination of a mass "Gaydar twang" affected the grid

4 men were treated for minor burns to the scalp..

The "challenging behaviour" was sticking up for himself.
He's not the only one from the show to say how badly the pro dancers are treated. If he was as controlling and vile as people say, he would have had his wife out that show the second he knew his contract was not going to be renewed.

does it matter?

To me yes as it's really awkward viewing with a guy with a chip in his shoulder making mountains out of molehills because he clearly isn't comfortable with his sexuality as much as he makes out.

Who cares if his comfortable in his sexuality? His made good TV so far and hopefully he'll keep it up.

He's obviously not as comfortable with his sexuality as he says he his.

James has kind of branded huimself the bad boy of Strictly. Everyone who watches the show knows that title would go to Brendan Cole. He's not even the best "bad boy" let alone the best dancer. Ola... you could do so much better.

I had no idea who James was when he entered the house (don't watch Strictly) & I assumed he was gay... He reminds me of Derek Faye "Gay dear? Me dear? No dear?!" :joker:

LOL... Derek Faye...

I didn't think James was gay (I do watch Strictly), and his wife is bloody gorgeous... amazing body. But of course, that doesn't prove anything.

Louie Spence said the very same thing on BOTS last night about James!
"He doth protest too much" was one of his lines.
He also called him a "sad twat" and many other very apt things. When you get 5 minutes of Louie he's great but every night on CBB he ran out of steam really quickly!

James reminds me of that other guy who was a dancer and was on CBB and also "wasn't gay".............Andrew Stone!
He was first out too, like James will hopefully be.
