Murder Island [APPLICATIONS OPEN]

Introducing 'Murder Island', an interactive Sims game with a Killer Twist.

Shortly before his horrific death, philanthropist Charles Halfpenny enlisted the help of private investigator Mr. H to find out who had attempted to steal the fortunes from the multi-millionaire's vault. Unfortunately, the thief returned to finish what they started and stole £100,000 and brutally murdered Halfpenny.

Mr. H has invited twelve suspects, each with a close connection to Charles Halfpenny, to the tropical island of Kassos in an attempt to locate the person who took Halfpenny's life and money.

If you have what it takes to solve the murder whilst evading being captured by the killer, you will be announced the winner of 'Killer Island'. However, if you fail to spot the clues hidden in the ongoing story, you will unfortunately be eliminated from the game.

Every Sunday, the real players will be given a mission by Mr. H to complete. The outcome of this mission will equate to a score. This score will be combined with the score of a separate in-game challenge, which will be carried out by the Sim counterparts of our players. The player with the highest score will not only receive immunity, but also a key piece of information in the case regarding the Killer!

As well as the challenge, the players will also be given a questionnaire to test their knowledge of the events of the previous week and the identity of the Killer. The two people with the lowest score on the questionnaire will unfortunately face Elimination, with a random generator deciding who will no longer be in the land of the living.

Successful applicants will be informed on Thursday 28th August, with the first Chapter will be published on Sunday 31st August 2014, and every Sunday thereafter.

In my defence, I didn't intentionally imitate other games. I have been watching The Mole and Whodunnit? and thought I would make a Sims version of those with my own twist, and to include members of the forum. If it bothers people that much I won't continue.

Anyway, this sounds like a great game idea Nerd, just make sure you have the required permission to run it and I'm sure we'll have a new big hit on TiBB! :) I understand why people are annoyed/frustrated or whatever, but if it doesn't affect you or the game you run, then there's no point getting involved. I just wanted to say thanks to anybody who had a comment [whether it was positive or otherwise]. I really do take these things on board.

I appreciate that I haven't reached 1,000 posts yet. However, I paraphrase Lupin from Harry Potter when I say 'It is the quality of ones convictions that determines success, not the number of followers posts on TiBB'. I imagine the rule was implemented to stop people who are new to the site to make a game and not follow through with their actions. However, I would like to demonstrate myself as the exception to this rule. I have recently ran a successful 'tournament (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262493)' on the forum, which shows that I am actually dedicated to this website and my ideas.

To the people who say that it is too similar to other concepts, I appreciate that. I really do. I didn't knowingly take ideas from other games that are similar to this on the forum. I took my inspiration from popular TV series that have hooked me recently (which I imagine was also the inspiration for other games). I wanted to have the opportunity put my own spin on things [Mine takes place as a Sims universe, primarily, and has interactive elements that will change the course of the narrative as it progresses].

It really isn't necessary to argue over the sake of this. I really wanted to share this with you all and make it a fun opportunity to play host, but I can happily play this Sims game in my own time if the moderators decide.
