I must say I am absolutly loving this season of Survivor. It is going back to the basics and the racial twist is just plain awesome and provocative. They're down to 13 people now and my 3 favorites are: Ozzy. Jonthan, and Yul. I would die if those three made Final 3. Great season so far.

I love Survivor: Cook Islands too! It's definately a great season so far!

lol? :nono:

Ozzy seems to be just dominating the challenges. So Awesome. Although I think Jonthan's shelf-life is slowly dying as he becomes the villain.

I pretty much prefer everyone from the Aitu tribe to the Raro tribe.

I couldn't download this week's episode  though I know who got voted off.

I really enjoyed this season however i was disapointed Yul won, i'd have rather seen Ozzy win. Ozzy & Parvati were my favourites from this season.

Roll on Season 14! :colour:

I don't like the rich/poor idea either :bored: It's too Big Brother 3 UK for my liking
If they replace these twists for the awful Final 3 twist I'll be fine though, lol.

Yes! So many things to look forward to! :dance2:

Yep, i don't like the idea of a final 3, just having a final 2 is a lot better. Having Becky there was just pointless really, i am really looking forward to it all though. Roll on 2007 for US television. :joker:

Oh and btw Noopie, the member who uploaded TAR S10, he has uploaded the whole of TAR Season 1 now, it's a surprisingly good season although the first 2 episodes look very amatuerish but it gets better, some good characters.

we had our own version of 'Survivor' here in the UK on ITV1, but it stopped in 2002 after a contestant fell into a fire!!

The happened on Season 2 of the United States Version.

Mike Skupin inhaled a giant cloud of smoke while tending the fire and passed out into the fire and ended up burning all the skin off of his hands. They had to take him out of the game for good, but the show wasn't cancelled.

I was also hoping for Ozzy to win S13. I thought he had that game in the bag, especially after he told the story about his dad. But this season was great too, this season and Exile Island were the best seasons since Survivor: Pearl Islands IMO.

I also enjoyed the Final 3 twist because it let the two best competitors be in the Final 2, Oscar and Yul. Becky would have made F2 and lost 7-0 had it been F2, because we all know Ozzy and Yul would think logically and take each other out because Becky would be an easy beat.

The Final 3 twist gave us an intense final tribal council and I was very happy they used it.

That's probably where I heard it!!

our one here in the United Kingdom was ok, but I never really saw it!!

is the US one good?

Chilltown

The US is the best possible version of the show. From what I heard they were trying to make Survivor UK much like BB UK, having live shows and such. Survivor is pre-taped and the winner is announced live.

This series is arguably the greatest American Television Show of all time. So far 6 season out of 13 have been released on DVD.

I suggest when all the seasons come out (or if you use bit torrent), that you check out:

Survivor: Borneo - The Best Season
Survivor: The Australian Outback - The 2nd Best
Survivor: Pearl Islands - 3rd Best
Survivor: Exile Island
Survivor: Cook Islands
Survivor: Amazon
Survivor: Africa
Survivor: Vanuautu

Oh and the Survivor: Fiji cast was announced today. 19 Survivors.......an odd number. AND THEY NEVER DO THAT. They always have the genders equal for fair oppurtunity. Apparently the day before filming, Melissa the mystery 20th contestants flipped out and quit the game before it started. So there are 10 men and 9 women.

In the past the tribes have been divised by:

Gender
Age
Race

and now.............Social Class. The Rich, well educated people will face off against the non college educated, middle/lower class contestants. Should be interesting. The cast includes:

A One time Homeless stree musician
A professional Ping Pong player who graduated from MIT
A black male (Anthony) who grew up in the worst gang violence area of the US. Compton, California, who went on to go to Yale one of the top Ivy League Schools and graduate.

That link will give you the cast profiles/pre-show interviews. Looks to be an excellent season.

Apparently this season is going to have HUGE controversy around it.

One of the castaways is going to make the biggest decision ever in Survivor History that will lead to controversey, questioning, and people one side of the fence or the other according to Host Jeff Probst.

It premieres in the USA, Feb. 8th 2007

The only thing that irritates me about US Reality TV shows is the flashing images on Survivor USA and BB USA!!

Ours are made slow and sometimes with commentry!!

like on BB UK: '8:15pm. Some of the housemates are in the garden. Nikki has been in the diary room for 34 minutes!!'

Chilltown
17-01-2007, 09:11 PM
See in the US, we don't have commentary. They show the reality TV as presented with music and ambiance and such to help set the mood and not let it drone out. The shows are edited to tell a story from what happened on the Island. The leading of events to the eventual person going home, it's not a long in-real time show like BBUK. Anyway, the Survivor: Fiji cast was announced today and they're continuing the Diversity that started last season.

cbs.com/primetime/survivor14

Oh yeah, and according to a few former Survivors, this Fall should be the Second All-Stars, I would absolutly love that.

I'd really like to see Jamie, Judd, Chris, Twila, Eliza, Tom, Terry, Ian, Shane, Jonathan and the others come back to the game to play. It would be awesome.

Michelle is gone now too. It seems like the men are really dominating which I like because an absolute domination like this has never happened before. Earl and Yau-Man's alliance may be able to do some major damage but I have a feeling one of the idols is gonna get used next episode.

Chilltown, would you put them in spoiler tags please? I keep having to close my eyes when going down and i still catch bits by mistake.

Ep 10 was great, it was my favourite. Cassandra has really proved that she's more than a Sundra and she is a threat providing all challenges are not physical. Also, i didn't think her decision as to who she would bring on the yaht with her would be strategical but again, she susprised me. I hope she manages to get far, i'd love to see her in the F2.

Yau was great again, he irratates me but i can't help but like him and for an old man, he's bloody good.

Stacy grew on me a lot this episode too, i'm glad she decided to jump the their side and her idea to vote Ed was a good choice, i wouldn't mind her making the F4/5 now and that's possible if she gets the the top 6 because she's quite strong at challenges.

I loved the look on Alex, Mookie and Ed's faces as the votes were read out, they were grinning like cheshire cats when the first 3 votes were Cassandra and then shocked at Mookie's and then there faces dropped once they saw Edgardo's names, especially Edgardo. And what's even better is that they played the immunity idol, they're both gonna be the next 2 to go. Mookie's arrogance, saying he was gonna take Cassandra's alliance out 1 by 1 was hillarious too, especially as it's now 6 vs him and Alex and he gave his idol away, for no reason.

That really was a great episode, can't wait for Ep 11.

My apologies, I had no idea we had spoiler tags

Personally, I must say this has been the best episode of the season and one of the best episodes of all time because of Dre betraying The Four Horsemen. It was amazing to watch and almost poetic. So now we're down to 8:

Alex
Earl
Cassandra
Stacy
Yau-Man
Boo
Dreamz
Mookie

6 Men versus 2 Women, a pretty big gender gap. Luckily for Cassandra and Stacy the men aren't picking off the women anymore.

Earl Cole is the first African American Male Winner and also made Survivor history by winning THE FIRST EVER UNANIMOUS VOTE.

Earl Cole Defeated Dre "Dreamz" Herd and Cassandra Franklin in a 9-0-0 vote. Never been done on Survivor before.

Not to mention the controversy of Dreamz screwing over Yau-Man in the end and keeping the car is making headlines in local Celeb News TV Shows such as Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight.

My Favorites to Come Back: Rory, Judd, Jamie, Shane, Oscar, Dreamz, Yau-Man, and Terry! We gotta have all them back. What sucks about this is that they're not bringing winners back :( Which means No Chris/Tom/Earl unfortunatly. We're not really missing anything with Yul, Aras, and Danni who were all pretty much boring.
