I think there was a misunderstanding in his first argument with Gary. When Leslie put on the rubber glove and James leaned over and said 'I assume the position' he didn't mean it as a gay joke, he was referring to getting into position for a doctor's examination of the prostate where the doctor inserts a finger...(the glove and bending over joke.)

I pretty much agree with all of your post...very good one!
I think there was a misunderstanding in his first argument with Gary. When Leslie put on the rubber glove and James leaned over and said 'I assume the position' he didn't mean it as a gay joke, he was referring to getting into position for a doctor's examination of the prostate where the doctor inserts a finger...(the glove and bending over joke.)
Gary took it as a gay thing and said about getting butt ******* and it went downhill from there....that was my reading of it anyway. :shrug:

You mean how Gary's clearly slightly isolated due to his hearing impairment, so BB asked James to help and encourage the group to include him more, then James referred to him as a "freako" to the whole group later on? What a sweetheart he is, always trying his best to help Gary when he's struggling :rolleyes:

I do think it's a silly reason to be bitching about him personally. Stephanie saying stuff like "the water will be black", I mean come on why does she have to be like that?

I agree the pair of them together are totally horrible nasty so and sos. Stephanie can go into the cage with James. :cheer2:

I disagree. It's from a Carry on film - the doc puts on the glove to examine the prostate and says 'assume the position' and the guy bends over...it's just a joke...

Yeah it could have been just a doctor joke, but even if it was, James got so over the top angry when it turned into a gay joke. Gary maybe pushed it too much too. Tbh I found that whole argument very uncomfortable to watch at the time, but looking back on it the silliness of it all and how it turned so quickly is a bit funny.

I like the dynamics of the pair of them though - I find their prickly relationship interesting.

I don't like James at all, but telling Gary he needed to shower, was a good thing to do.

I don't get why everyone assumes Gary smelled, maybe he was washing in the sink rather than taking showers. I don't see his personal hygiene being their business.
