..yeah I worded that wrong...what I meant was that James is just self absorbed/self important/pompous and doesn't have the creepy quality to him that Steven had..

It's a tough one.

Steven tried to be controlling of Kimberly and tried to make everyone (like BOTS audience etc) hate Chris - but he was such a blinkered self-centred buffoon that he became a David Brent style comedy character. His tears and 'i will destroy them' speech when nommed in week two was perhaps the funniest moment of the series.

James is also totally self righteous but he has none of Steven's accidental comedy about him and has a lot of inner anger that Steven doesn't have. eg - James telling Frenchy "don't play f-in games with me girl, you don't know who you're f-in with!" Steven would never say that - especially to a girl!

But on James's good side - he does make a kind of effort with Gary sometimes, albeit very patronising.

You know what, Steven is a bigger wally but harmless. James is probably the nastier of the two when it comes down to it. So yeah, James i think has the darker edge of dislikeability.
