This time, I'm taking a slightly different approach to things with the usual projects. I'm taking the idea that Viacom will change things on Channel 5 and with Big Brother, and have decided to write up new format changes and completely transform the House.

When I say transform the House, I don't just mean I've shifted a few rooms and put an extra wall in the garden - I mean I've completely gutted, remodeled and extended the current Elstree compound and used the maximum amount of space.

I'll be using the neon/space themed eye that I posted a while ago as the logo for the project. There's a lot to come from this project, more than just the House. Hopefully I've intrigued you enough to make you come back.

BIG BROTHER: NEW SHOWS
Big Brother will be dominating the schedules throughout its run on Channel 5. The current show line up will be joined by two new additions, and a new presenter.

BIG BROTHER: NOMINATIONS LIVE
1x75 MINUTES [Sunday]

Emma Willis presents nominations live, where Housemates will nominate each other live against the clock. This show will air after the highlights show at 10pm. The nominations format will be explained further on.

BIG BROTHER'S BIG BRUNCH
1x45 MINUTES [Sunday]

Andrew Hayden-Smith presents the special lunch-time show, where there are behind the scenes treats and more discussion about the latest in the House, plus Emma Willis will join him in the studio for a pre-nominations talk ahead of the live nominations show in the evening.

Alongside these two main shows, Channel 5 will be airing 10 minute highlights at 12pm and 5pm everyday to keep viewers up to date with the latest in the House.

Big Brother's Bit on the Side

Big Brother's Bit on the Side returns for thew new series. Emma Willis and Rylan Clark will front the show, and share presenting duties between them. The show will air five days a week, directly after the main highlights shows. The presenting rota for Emma and Rylan will stay the same:
Monday: Rylan
Tuesday: Emma
Wednesday: Emma
Thursday: Emma
Friday: Rylan

As well as the show, the set has been refreshed and transformed. The stairs have changed and now lead straight down, the sofa area has moved to the opposite side of the studio nearer the audience and the panel has been removed and in place are three chairs for guests.

Big Brother's Big Brunch

Big Brother's Big Brunch is the brand-new Sunday lunchtime show that replaces the evening edition of Bit on the Side. Hosted by Andrew Hayden-Smith, Big Brunch takes a slightly younger approach to Big Brother. The show focuses more on behind the scenes looks at Big Brother showing backstage looks at the eviction shows, the camera runs and production areas, as well as talking to ex-Housemates about their time in the House and getting their take on the action.

As well as that, a live music act joins Andrew in the studio. The studio is the Bit on the Side studio just with a lighting change and a few things swapped around.

Format Changes - Part 1

Nominations
Nominations will return in a new way. Every Sunday, Housemates WILL nominate in the Diary Room. This will take place live on Channel 5, and Housemates will only have one minute to nominate each Housemate and give their reasons for the nominations. If Big Brother doesn't believe the reason is genuine enough or that the reason isn't valid, the Housemate nominating will be punished.

Shopping Tasks:
Housemates will take part in weekly shopping tasks on Monday and Tuesday. These tasks will focus on the psychological and physical side of the Housemates capabilities. Housemates will only win up to £300 for shopping a week. If they fail the task, Big Brother will deliver ALL meals at set times, and the meals will be the only source of food in the House.

Prize Fund/Fine System:
This year, the Big Brother Prize Fund will stand at £1 Million. This is not guarenteed, and Big Brother is introducing the fines system seen in Big Brother Australia. The fines system allows Big Brother to reduce the prize fund by £10,000 every time a Housemate breaks a fundimental rule of Big Brother. For example, everytime that a Housemate discusses nominations the prize fund will go down.

The Housemates remaining in the last week will be given chances to win back some of the lost prize money.

Big Brother: Format Changes - Part 2

Head of Household:
On Saturday morning, Housemates will all gather ready for the Head of Household competition. ALL Housemates will take part in the head of Household competition, and the winner will become the Head of House. As the Head of House, this Housemate will live in the private bedroom in the main House, be given maximum privileges and luxury food items.

The Head of House will be immune from nomination and will have the right to nominate someone to automatically face eviction. They will decide this Housemate on Sunday morning before the live nominations. They will have to nominate normally alongside this nomination. The Housemate that is nominated by the Head of House will be excluded from any Save and Replace tasks that may take place.

The Head of Household will also have decisions to make throughout the week which will affect the House in small ways, such as rewarding certain Housemates they think have been having a tough time or punishing Housemates who broke rules. The Head of Household will also take the leading role in the weekly shopping task.

Inside their bedroom, the Head of Household will be able to watch a 24 hour stream from the House and listen in on private conversations that happen within the House. They will be treated with special items such as their favourite foods, a letter from home and will be allowed to watch a film for example.

As well as this, inside the Head of Household bedroom there is another memory wall which will house the Housemates pictures. The Head of House will be able to rank each Housemate from top to bottom during the week, starting from Sunday to Thursday. Whoever is on top of the leader board at the end of the week will be given a reward. Whoever is on the bottom of the board at the end of the week will be punished.

All in good time :flutter: I think now is a good time to reveal the first revamped area of the new House - The Exterior stage.

With the cleared space now behind the stands at Elstree's Big Brother Compound, the Big Brother stage has been extended in the opposite direction, and things moved around. It has been contained entirely indoors and the crowd capacity has dropped and now only holds a small audience. The large eye stage which has become iconic on Channel 5 returns, but the rest is very different. As the Housemates walk out of the eye, they are greeted by a long catwalk that leads directly to the main doors of the House, at ground level.

There is a large circle area for Emma to present the live shows.

Entrance Hall
Housemates will enter the House via the main double doors from the stage, and then enter a small hallway which lead them into the main house. The entrance is themed in a light pink, with a few small steps leading from the main doors to the ground.

The white carpet has also been fitted with pink lighting which flickers and fades. Is this a clue to the problematic Big Brother House the Housemates are entering?

Living Area - Sofas

Big Brother's biggest ever renovation has taken place, and the House is now a large living space with a raised roof and additional areas for the Housemates to explore. The Housemates will talk into the living area through the main entrance door and will be greeted with their first look at the large looming chandelier from the ceiling, a circular dining table and the stairs to an upstairs seating area.

The sofa area is on a raised floor area, with lighting and carpeted squares. The sofa unit is all attached, and Housemates will all sit together and face each other.

Kitchen
The Kitchen of the Big Brother House is one of the more interesting features of the House this year. It is very digital, and very futuristic. Three plasma screens have been installed into the kitchen and will be used to display task details for the shopping task, secret missions or will Big Brother be evil and play footage into the House at random times?

Also in the kitchen is the Big Brother iPad. Through using this tablet, Housemates will order their food, check the battery life of the House and are able to see how long is left until nominations/evictions and who the current Head of House is.

I have a small question, seeing as you're so good at this stuff, could you possibly upload a Big Brother house to the Google Sketchup Warehouse, but without anything inside, or a roof, purely the walls. It's just I'd like to give it a go but I literally get so frustrated with the roof getting in the way as I zoom in and out, plus having to delete every furnished item, it takes so much time, if you can preferably BB12/13!

Dining Area
Big Brother is making Housemates sit together again as they eat, with this dining table. It is round and has enough space for 16 Housemates to sit together - four in each seating section.

While the Housemates eat, they can look at the Housemate memory board which is again made up of screens.

Balcony

The living area of the Big Brother House continues with the upstairs area. Yes, Big Brother has installed a balcony for the Housemates to sit and chat, and watch over the entire living area. However - this area is not to be taken for granted. It isn't luxury - In fact, the entire area is made up of scrap metal and carpets. The floor has circuit board patterns running through it, with flickering lights. Another sign of a failing or problematic Big Brother House?

To access the balcony, Housemates must climb the spiral staircase.

Head of House Bedroom

The Head of House Bedroom is accessed via a short corridor off the main living area. Only the HoH will sleep in this room, but can invite two other Housemates into the House to spend time with.

The bedroom is a small space, with a large circular bed, a comfy chair, a small table with two chairs, a storage unit and a plasma screen. The room also includes another Housemate memory wall, which the HoH can use to rate the Housemates from 1-14 (Or however many Housemates there are).

Bedroom 1

The bedrooms of the House are accessed through the garden, which will be revealed at a later date.

This is the first bedroom, and is the least comfortable room in the entire House. Whoever sleeps in this room will have a cold, hard bed to sleep on with thin blankets. While the room is a calming blue, rest assured that Big Brother won't let the Housemates rest easy.

In addition to six single beds, all connected, there are storage units built into the walls, a wardrobe, two chairs and a toilet.

Main Bedroom 2
The second bedroom is a complete opposite to the first bedroom. It's warm, cosy, comfortable and spacious. Double beds take their place on a raised wooden platform, while storage has been built into the walls.

The bedroom has a toilet and a walk in wardrobe space for the Housemates to store their clothes. The beds are made with large memory foam mattresses, warm sheets and fluffy pillows. Which bedroom would you prefer?

Garden
One of the main transformation points of the House is the Garden. Gone is the futuristic and light colours from my previous project, and in are dark and enclosed spaces.

The main living space moves into the garden via the patio door, which leads out to the shower area and toilet. The small garden leads then to a circle seating area in the centre. Big Brother has installed a small swimming pool for the Housemates to enjoy, alongside some recliner chairs. The dark wood and purple colour scheme is evident throughout the area, apart from one certain area. There is an enclosed seating area with light wood and purple hexagons.

The only bathroom in the House this year is outside, and it has just two sinks and a bathtub. If you think that's all to this House, then think again as another secret is yet to be unveiled...

Rewards Room
Big Brother this year has installed a hidden rewards room. This can be accessed via one of the wall panels in the living area. The panel must be pushed to be opened, and then the Housemates need to crawl through the corridor into the rewards space.

Inside, there is a large bar which has an unlimited supply of alcohol and drinks, a hot tub, and comfy chairs.

Celebrity Big Brother Edits

Celebrity Big Brother won't return in the summer, and instead will return to the normal January slot. The show will start on Wednesday 6th January, and end on Friday 29th January.

As the series is returning in January, the House has remained similar but minor changes have taken place for the new residents.

Exterior
The exterior stage remains virtually the same, however the circle has been changed to a star, and a red carpet has been placed on the catwalk.

The entrance hasn't changed much either, apart from this time it's yellow.

Living Area
The living area has now taken on a purple and city theme, instead of the blue and space theme seen in the summer. The majority of the furniture has been replaced for more comfortable alternatives. The sofa area has been given a comfy makeover and now houses luxury sofas and is much more intimate and cosy. The dining table is now smaller and much more modern, plus the head of House room has been removed.

Not much has changed in the garden. The outdoor bathroom has been enclosed, and a roof added over the pool. The purple colour scheme has been changed for a warmer yellow and orange.

Diary Room
The Diary Room is the most important room of any Big Brother House, and this time it's a little different.

Outside, a screen across a small wall displays circuits and the neon circles seen in the pupil of the eye logo rotate. When a Housemate presses the bell for the diary room, the wall turns red, and then green when opened.

Inside the Diary Room is a little different to any Diary Room we've seen before. The chair is a large bowl like shape, with a pink seat inside. The wall behind the chair is the title graphics, with the eye above the seat. On either side of the chair is a wall of screens. These screens will display graphics when the diary room is in normal use, task graphics for tasks and can change to suit the mood.

The screens will also be used to show a full body shot of the two Housemates that the Housemate in the chair decides to nominate. The Housemates nominated by the Housemate will be watching in a way over the Housemate in the chair - causing a sense of intimidation.
