It is like James is trying to put the Hollywood Legend down. Even when Gary was doing the balloon phobia task James insisted that everyone knew he was acting. I have to say that none of the housemates seem impressed by the fact that Gary got the largest number of VTS votes or by the largely favourable crowd reaction.

The reason James didn't take notice of the cues from the public is because
his massive ego won't allow him to back-track even to his own detriment. James has no insight into his own horrible, patronising and belittling behaviour shown frequently towards Gary.

Yeah he was always arguing with judges if they gave him and his partner a lower score than he thought they deserved, he walked out a few times, people loved him for it.
