Katie Hopkins could never be accused of holding her tongue in an awkward situation.

But the former reality TV contestant hit a new low last summer when she told an obese woman on This Morning that she wouldn't employ her because fat people give off the impression that they are lazy.

After a backlash from thousands of angry Brits, the 39-year-old has now ballooned from 8st 8lb to 12st to prove to overweight people across the UK that being chubby is their own fault.

Katie embarked on the scheme after becoming sick of hearing excuses thrown around by overweight people for their size.

She said: 'My project is called, 'To Fat And Back.'
'One in ten of our children are starting school overweight or obese and one in three children who are fifteen or over are overweight or obese.

'People have always said to me, "You're lucky, you're skinny," and I just don't think these excuses are cutting it any more.

'I saw a story the other day about how the curtains in your bedroom not being thick enough could be making you fat.

'I just thought, we have to put an end to this.'

Katie took extreme measures to put on 3st 5lb in just three months.

I don't understand why you people and the rest of the common folk continue to give this woman loads of attention. Very, very strange.

She will lose it quickly to dispel the myths about glands and thyroids

I bet she starves herself for a short time actually to lose it fast, then says she just ate healthy. On a balanced diet and such it would take what..at least 4 months (with loadsa excercise) to lose that much

I heard when Morgan Spurlock did the McDiet for 'Supersize Me' it took him a year to lose the weight he put on in the month of the film.

I don't see what on earth she's trying to prove?

That if she easily loses weight that she's purposely put on by not eating how she normally does somehow means that actual medical facts about some (not all) fat people is wrong? Are people actually taking her seriously?

I'm sure someone who stops eating their normal portions of food and loses lots of weight will quite easily put it back on again once they start to eat normally again but does that mean anorexia and bulimia are not real and very serious problems/illnesses? And that it's easy for everybody to get back up to a healthy weight? No.

I am guessing this is not a scientific experiment that will make any academic journals but it may fill 7 minute slot before xmas on This Morning?

Then that is lucky it has been diagnosed (as its hard to spot) and as long as you are taking your meds (hormones?) then no worries

it probably won't take her as long as expected because she's put it on in such a short amount of time meaning it'll be easier to lose it again as well.
