Playing in front of Ozil, Sanchez, Ramsey & Wilshere etc is a strikers dream.. Giroud could have 30+ league goals a season if he wasnt such a clumsy twat in front of goal so I think Welbeck will do alright, especially with his pace.

Stick Sturridge or Suarez in our side and they'd be on 30-40 goals a season.. Giroud is ridiculously clumsy and bad in front of goal at times. If Welbeck converts the chances Giroud misses then he's well on his way to being a 20+ goal a season striker for us.

Barring any injuries I think the only games Gerrard isn't going to play are the majority of the Capital One Cup and the early rounds of the FA Cup. The reason he retired from England was so that Rodgers didn't cap his league/CL appearances.

Can't even blame Mario so far. I can only remember two clear cut chances we have created for him since his debut, his goal vs Ludogorets and the volley from a couple of yards out vs Everton that Howard knocked onto the bar. He'll start scoring more once Sturridge is playing alongside him and creating space, and Mario dropping deep will be a lot less frustrating when Sturridge is still in and around the box.
