I must admit I thought this too. Not even related to the Benefits Street thing, it just seemed so desperate to grab while claiming she was doing it for the boys' benefit. It almost seemed like when she heard Claire had left for good, the first thing she thought was "better grab the cigs".

However, if I was in the house and addicted to cigs and someone had told me I could have their cigs (which apaz Claire did) I'd probably take them too.

I've been on benefits , home schooled 2 children thanks to the benefit system , it was the hardest thing I have ever done, no spare money and no way of earning any,however I now run a successful business I work very hard and have a great lifestyle , my biggest dream would be to back to places like benefits street and help more people out of the rut and into financial freedom.

I am slow to criticise someones body shape but I would say that woman wouldn't know excersise if a dumbbell hit her on the arse. While there are a very small proportion of people on benefits that could be categorised as free loaders, the hatred towards people who for one reason or another are out of work or who are sick is out of proportion. There are far more selfish and dangerous people in this country than benefit claimants. Like massive corporations who dodge taxes.

And there are far worse ways to spend our public money than on benefit systems. Like spending it on foreign wars ! Or on building high speed railways that destroy villages, communities, people's farms and ancient woodland - spending billions and billions of our money - just so a few businessmen can get all the profit.

Benefit claimants just want to live their own lives - not destroy the country like a lot of well paid people are doing.
