Im using chrome and the text size has changed (the zoom settings in chrome are at 100% so its not that) and also threads arent updating properly i see a thread has new posts but when i click on the thread it doesnt show any new posts until i refresh the page.
Anyone else or just me? :conf:
It's fine for me.
Someone else had a problem with the text size the other day though.
For the new posts problem you can try going to the main forum page, scrolling down and mark all forums read, sometimes it helps but sometimes it doesn't.

I think chrome updated earlier tonight and it has been since then i hope it sorts itself out.
Its fine on IE.

The text looks weird for me too, like for unread threads the title is extra bold or something.

it does the same for me. i never know when a thread is updated that i've been in, because its bold the whole time

Yep everything is bold even the forum titles and the text looks smaller and lower resolution to me the bolded text looks almost blurry its horrible.

This, also.

It's always bold before I visit a thread but it's even bigger today for some reason, when I first opened the forum today I tried to zoom out because I thought I had zoomed in accidentally but it turned out to be at the right scale. :umm2:

I'm on Chrome and always view the forum on 90% but the text is bigger now and 75% is too small so I'll deal..

Works fine on Opera and works on Internet explorer but IE goes into compatibility mode to display it but looks a mess in Chrome.
Is it due to it being old version of vbulletin? Its so annoying it hurts my eyes. :(

chrome is messing up for me today too, it's a horrible font and the text is slightly bigger I think :fist:.

When did this start? Have you tried a different forum theme? (menu for changing is at bottom-left of page).
I'll look into it.

Yes i tried a different theme and it made no difference it started for me last night at about 7pm.
I am on my PC at work at the moment on Chrome and this one is fine though so i dont know if you have fixed it or if there is a Chrome update that hasnt caught up with this PC yet
I wont know if its sorted itself out until tonight.
The text is slightly different for me too but I was wondering if it was a general Chrome thing cos it seems to have happened on another forum I'm on as well, I actually prefer the new text I think lol

I found a fix! :cheer2:
copy and paste this into the url:
chrome://flags/ (and load it as if it is a url)
Then find: Disable DirectWrite and click enable just underneath it.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "relaunch browser" tab.
Then after the browser has relaunched close it completely then when you open it and come back to tibb it will be sorted.

It's because of the update to Chrome 37:
Chrome 37 with DirectWrite support for Windows now respects Windows DPI scaling. (Previous Chrome versions did not scale itself, so the OS would perform automatic scaling.)
In Chrome 37, you should get one of three things now:
- at 100% DPI scaling, everything should look just the way it used to
- at 125% DPI scaling, icons, buttons, and non-textual stuff will now be slightly larger than it used to be
- at scales above 125%, both the fonts and the graphical elements will be proportionally larger
This is the expected behavior for Chrome 37 on Windows with custom DPI settings.

Quite a few complaints about it. Not sure if I can / should do anything about it here.

All sorted now though.

just to make it more clear that the issue is...
I used to be able to go into a thread, read everything and then click the 'new posts' button and the thread I had read already would not be in bold. but not matter what I do, it's all still in bold
http://i.imgur.com/m4ZDouj.png
you can't tell what thread i've been to here... but i tested it on the sooty one.

Have you tried logging out and back in again?
Failing that, try deleting the site Cookies -
in Chrome go to Settings -
Click 'Show advanced settings' at the bottom -
Click 'Content Settings...' under Privacy -
Click 'All cookies and site data...' -
Type thisisbigbrother where it says 'Search cookies' and then click 'Remove all shown'. (If you completely removed all of your cookies for other sites, you'd lose all your logins etc. on all sites).
You don't have to log in every time you visit the site, do you? It remembers the login, okay?
